Don't run Purity of Lightning for this build. It says says this in the guide.

That affix is specific to Warlord's influence, so you can either use a Warlord's exalted orb to slam a good pair of gloves with an open suffix and hope for the best (risky) or you can alt/chaos spam a pair of gloves that already has Warlord's influence on it. (Or you can trade for a pair, if you have the currency.)

But you're never going to get the affix by spamming that particular pair of gloves as they are, so don't waste any currency trying!

I would keep trying for better rolls on the rare and continue to use the Queen's Hunger for now.
