Assassin Unstable Infusion un nerf/fix it alredy
Yeah so the conclusion is if you like running builds that die instantly to lightning thorns, you'll get power charges from the node, otherwise it's trash.
Frankly tbh I feel it's poorly designed under that circumstance, but there's only so much ggg can do. Maybe instead of basing off of total hits, use a timer "if you haven't crit in the last five seconds, your next hit generates a power charge." my evasion is so high i only insta rip sometimes

" That's quite neat actually. Gain a power charge on hit if you haven't crit recently. Helps with sustain if you have to run between areas but you'd still need a better charge generation system if you were motoring through everything. It could also make you play a hard boss fight more strategically. The only issue is it might be really strong with an RT build (basically a romira's but where you don't have to worry about losing the charges). However, when going assassin as an RT build, you probably need all the help you can get! Yes you get a safe power charge every 4 seconds, but what will you really get from having max power charges, since their main benefit is crit... oh and you are in the assassin tree that centers around crit. Honestly I think right now all of the trees offer some charges but hardly any of them is able to sustain them alone. They nerfed the occultist for that reason. However the thing with unstable infusion is that it doesn't do anything else. Raider and Occultist get one more charge, similar to the juggernaut. The Gladiator gets bonus for full frenzy/endurance charges etc. So the thing is the shadow needs something here. Options are to move power from deadly infusion to unstable infusion. So you could remove the crit multiplier from deadly infusion and do something like this with unstable infusion: a) gain 10% of non-chaos damage as extra chaos damage when on full power charges b) 10% chance to deal double damage with hits when on full power charges c) +1 power charge d) 50% increased crit multiplier when on full power charges The thing is you get the node earlier than deadly infusion and you likely have less power charges, so getting a benefit on full power charges is more beneficial here. 50% crit multiplier also is slightly better than 6 power charges with deadly infusion and honestly is the more boring version. 10% chance to double your damage is technically just 10% more damage, but in a more... unstable way. In addition to that I agree that you should get a power charge if you haven't crit recently, instead of 10% on non-crit. |
