[3.25]g00fy_goober's EleBuzzsaw Deadeye (Easily Clear All Content) *REVAMPED AGAIN*
" Lycosidae is used primarily because of the hit's cant be evaded mod. It is a shield that gives us SOME life, and decent block which is nice, but basically because of the hit's cant be evaded. This allows us to forgo all accuracy rolls on gear and have 100% chance to hit. Dual wielding for a lot of builds doesn't do much. Having another ele dagger or using an offhand with a massive amount of global crit or global ele dmg helps but not a huge amount and not worth getting 20% less accuracy. Tempestuous steel is a weapon so the "hit's cant be evaded" is local just like a vagan dagger, and ONLY hits with this weapon would not be evaded. The hits with your main ele dagger/claw etc would not count. As for new gems, it won't be overly fun trying to figure out tbh. Both added cold and added lightning damage got like a 20%-30% increase in damage. This makes these gems incredibly strong. WED was reduced by 5% at all levels, not HUGE but still a nerf. Now with the addition of both Innervate AND ice bite giving flat dmg on top of other benefits, things will definitely have to be figured out. Problem is, we only have 4 gem slots extra (on a 6 link too) besides for ST + GMP/Slower Proj. So now we have only 4 other support gems we can pick from out of like 8+ options now. Will have to do thorough testing to see which gems will be best now. |

I'm currently doing this build with slight modifications, especially because I plan on taking this to hardcore. I'd like to discuss the defensive setups with this build. I'm currently lvl 82 in the beta.
First of all it remains very, very strong and it really starts to shine when it gets a 6-link with innervate. I'm currently testing it and the tier 5-9 bosses melt pretty fast. I just picked up Vaal Pact and that greatly helps with surviveability, but before this build becomes a well-rounded hardcore pick for the new league, I think we need to alter a few picks. My suggestion is, that we pick up cwdt and enfeeble as one measure. And what do you guys think about Iron Reflexes when you reach around 7k evasion? What else can be done to improve this very promising builds' defences? Última edição por kogle6 em 29 de jul de 2017 19:36:19

" Glad to hear you are enjoying the build on beta so far! I am interested in playing it just with all the new 3.0 changes, new areas, new graphic improvements etc etc. I am curious as to what your running on your 6l as you specifically mentioned innervate. Very curious to test stuff out and see which are better in 3.0. As for defenses it is hard to say... Evasion/dodge/block can't really be scaled a huge amount. Belly is definitely the best chest with 40% life, but its very small on evasion, which makes your overall evasion not a huge amount. Dodge is more with ascendancy + nodes. CWDT > IC > Enfeeble would probably be a much better defensive setup, your biggest thing though would be to get more life in the build. As much as I dislike the helm running starkonja over rat's nest would probably be a better option especially for hc. Overall build is much better suited for SC and it will need much more testing in 3.0 than I first thought. |

" I've changed it out with increased critical strikes, because it just feels more powerful atm. I can't really crunch the numbers, but it increased critical strikes just shines. I've also gotten a Choir of the storm (lul), and it's insane atm. But what I'm really interested in, is why you think it's not a good HC pick. You're obviously more experienced with this build on softcore, but why choose another build over this, if your goal is to live one life? At this moment I'm performing a lot better than my sunder-gladiator at approx the same level. As of this moment I'm clearing tier 12 maps and no deaths. The only big problem is lifepool atm, because I've switched out belly of the beast for a six-link. What problem in hardcore does this build have, that other builds doesn't, Goober? Looking forward to your response. |

" I am very inexperienced with hardcore, I play it very very rarely myself. However the main fact to HC builds is they get less dps and much more life/defensive stuff. While I love my build, the one thing I wish I could improve would be a lot more life. If you got a lot more life you would end up sacrificing a good amount of dmg stuff and I can't bring myself to do it. Thus I don't think it would be a great HC build , that is all. Definitely doable just not to me I guess. |
|
" But isn't that the case for all hardcore builds? You must sacrifice some damage for better survival? I think this build can do very well, actually better than most, but I still need a couple of defensive options. Is life the only solution? |

Would you recommend any specific unique claws for 3.0? Playing standard and want to start the gearing process for this build.

Sadly rings and amulets are very limited in beta ,so we lose alot of dps from it, but the build is great (limited survivability tho). However i would not start this in the 3.0 (belly will be redic expensive for 6l) since almost all life builds are playing with it,also the correct itemisation is kinda hard. Once you have the currency to invest tho ,this will be top tier build for me,especially because of the boss killing potential which is the best i tried so far ( i tried 6-7 builds in beta). Gems are to be discussed ,but potential lvl 21 on all flat dmg types will bring them to par with crit/pen i guess. I will check this regulary. Also what claw nodes are you getting ,are you only going for soul raker ?

" Yes generally speaking it is the same for most HC builds. Which to me isn't very fun which is why I don't play HC. For example if you can get say 60k tooltip dps with 5k life and xxx amount of defenses. And you can change that so now you get like 40k tooltip dps and can get like 6k-6.5k life with a bit more defense that's not fun to me. I don't like playing glass cannons but I don't like sacrificing 1/3 of my dps either for better survivability. Thus I don't play HC very much because deaths are few and far between but still happen. The problem with evasion/dodge itself is there is no mitigation, so when you get hit its like getting hit by a tank. Your best defense is to out leech the damage you take. So life usually comes as the best defense, although you could get more stuff, but with dodge/evasion/block and such when you do get hit you still get annihilated. I would still stick mainly with leech + life as your main defenses that you can improve. Also there are certain builds especially like totem builds and such that allow you to get much more life and defenses along with high amounts of armour while still not losing much dps. Summoners are the same, there is only certain nodes that add to your summons/minions which is why both are so popular on HC. Not saying its the only options but that's why a build like that would be much better suited to HC than this one. This one is just a hell of a lot more fun :) " Nope not really, I would just take w/e rare dagger/claw/sword with good attack speed you can find/buy and go from there. Later in the game, probably around level 40ish then you can start worry about going claw and just rock with the one that has the most EDPS and good attack speed at that time. " Yes beta is VERY limited. Things are crazy expensive and not a lot of items exist tbh, especially now that league is only like 5 days away. Also fully agree with belly, I mean I don't think it will be as bad as your estimating, you can still get a good 5l belly for like 100c or so for a high rolled one. I mean it has definitely gone up in price since life builds are the new meta but definitely doable and I believe it can still be a strong starter. You will run with tabula for a good bit until you can buy a belly and 5l it which shouldn't be to bad. Tabula is more than sufficient for early mapping. Gems are the same, level 21 are great but again not fully needed. I am more interested in checking the new icebite/innervate, sadly I cant figure out if this has been updated on path of building or not yet. I am also pretty new to path of building and have never used it much so trying to figure it out as best I can as well. It is much easier to test things on this, then buying all the stuff in game :) As for claw nodes I will be getting soul raker and with more skill points and a couple changes, I will be grabbing claws of the falcon as well, and hopefully with more levels/skills in act 9 + 10 will be able to grab written in blood as well for some more life. Soon as patch notes are out I will try to give this an update, along with changing tree and switching to claws and all that, but once league starts, it will be awhile before I fully test/update this build. I will check here every day for responses as always but... playing league and doing challenges and running my guild and such will take priority, which is why I will try to update the changes/tree and such b4 league comes out. |

I tried also PoB to see which is the best, but cannot figure out if those 2 are updated. Also if it calculate frenzy chrg dmg on ice bite. However if we are playing with light pen there is no point in taking it over innervate (which as we progress is worse then added lightning especially vs bosses). Tbh there is not os hard to roll 130 life chest anymore and 130-140 life chest can bring alot more options for 100-150 life on belly ,you can get an insane eva chest + resist leaving you with options for some uniques (crit lightning neck) ,or some frenzy charge boots.
P.S. why are we using hatred when we have so little physical dmg ? Wrath is giving me right now around 2k more dmg. Última edição por velislav87 em 30 de jul de 2017 12:28:46
