I liquidated all my currency in standard and got my hands on a "the surrender" unique shield. My zerker is currently lvl 43. I'll keep you posted on how it plays towards end game :)

Update - 9/6/17
LVL 69 now. Build is a blast to play, but not sure it's worth it going more defensive honestly. Hardly notice the leech from the surrender shield with all the leech we have as berzerker and we lose x5 jewel slots to (nearly) max block + spell block. Also, being forced to take resolute technique hurts our damage by a significant margin!

On the positive side, you don't really need to run blasphemy if you power up the pantheon major god solaris. ( you can't be crit if you were crit recently ). Which helps open things up a bit. I think if you are looking for a fun build that is a bit more defensive, you would be hard pressed to beat xirgil's crank. That build is an absolute beast of a tank and can handle Labs np.

Still a super fun build, but I think at this point it seems to make more sense going full on DPS with a high life pool VS trying to build around anything else.

If you take Yugul in patheon, you can do reflect maps. this build has no problems with reflect IF you don't use doryani's touch skill, because it will oneshot you.

this build is hardcore viable but you have to be really smart about it, it's not immortal by any means. and yes, it 100% has to be berserker.

Hey, loving the look of this build, shield charge explosions is something I've wanted since I started poe!

100% going to have a go, just a few questions if you would be so kind, I'm a relatively new player.


- When you say the CODT setup isn't for damage, it's for leech, doesn't leech increase with damage done? Could is it simply, enough with the flat ele damage you have to run low levels? and is there any reason you run level 8ish on the damage skills?

- When do you reach vaal pact generally? It's pretty far away from the start point, and until your cruel lab, you literally have no leech (and not very much regen?) Was it a struggle?

- Would a brightbeak/sunder and a ton of flat ele damage be a sensible leveling setup? I figure high attack speed would suit the flat ele damage of this build, but I don't entirely trust me game knowledge to get it right.

- did you run sunder right up until the fist aoe? I mean you could realistically get the shield charge setup going relatively early? or do you need the fists ele damage to be able to get the first kill in good time?
