Also, I've yet to crunch the numbers, but Darkness Enthroned Stygian Vise might be BiS for pure damage, especially early game. You can even roll Life Jewels for it, though lack of resists might hurt.

Question though for the OP, Is there more of a standard friendly, less defensive prioritized passive tree that you could draw up for this? or would you say the HC version is best for both worlds? I want to play this but in standard, and obviously defenses are less of a concern

You won't get much more clear speed with less defense, we already clear maps at Movement Speed. Also endgame becomes very hard without layered defenses, especially now that Vaal Pact is nerfed. You basically have nothing to lose by using MoM/Dodge/Blind/Fortify. However, I did put up a new tree that gets more Jewel Sockets for Abyss League, so that might be what you're looking for, since you will get crazy damage from them.

You're off to a great start. You need to run Soul of Arakaali & CWDT + Immortal Call somewhere though (replace Frost Wall). That will give you 50% increased Life Recovery (50% More Leech Rate and Cap).

For upgrades:

First get The Pandemonius. Then get an Esh's Mirror (or good Shaper/Elder Shield). Then get 6L Belly of the Beast. Then WED Opals (horror isn't as good cause of new Jewels). Then 120+ Damage Jewels. Then +1 Darkray Vectors. Then 21/20 Ice Bite & Added Cold Damage. Then 21/20 Cyclone. Then +1 Pandemonius. Then 21/20 for the rest of your DPS Gems.

You can probably do a Shaped Vault Atlas with Zana 8 Breach to make lots of guaranteed currency from Div Cards. I made about 20c a map doing Vault last league. If you don't have Zana 8 yet, here's a guide.

The best way to get +1 Frenzy Darkray Vectors is probably just Vaaling them yourself.
