In the latest The Hill-HarrisX survey, which was conducted Jan. 12 and 13 after the newly elected congresswoman called for the U.S. to raise its highest tax rate to 70 percent, found that a sizable majority of registered voters, 59 percent, supports the idea.

"
Women support the idea by a 62-38 percent margin. A majority of men back it as well, 55 percent to 45 percent. The proposal is popular in all regions of the country with a majority of Southerners backing it by a 57 to 43 percent margin. Rural voters back it as well, 56 percent to 44 percent.

Increasing the highest tax bracket to 70 percent garners a surprising amount of support among Republican voters. In the Hill-HarrisX poll, 45 percent of GOP voters say they favor it while 55 percent are opposed to it.

GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
70% that's crazy, and I say that as someone that's very socialist. Highest I'd ever argue for is 50% and that's still very very high.

According to the poll, you're as socialist as an average GOP voter. How does it feel?

No one who achieved President-Elect of the United States is weak or stupid. The task is too difficult to be achieved by luck alone; it takes both incredible skill and a hefty amount of luck to boot. I'm bipartisan on this; Obama was an evil genius in my book (almost a loveable one a la Frank Underwood), not an idiot. If any President seems to be weak or stupid to you, either you're biased, they're intentionally playing dumb, or both.

I think Trump is driven, extremely so, which makes up for a lot what otherwise be a person's downfall. It's what made him want to become president, and what made him become president in the end.
But I have no doubt that he's weak. His incessant lying, his habitual infidelity, his inablity to control his impulses, his flip-flopping, his pettiness and vindictiveness, his constant bragging ... all of which point to a flawed character of no true convictions other than to himself. For me that's practically the definition of weakness.

That's 70% federal, when you add in state taxes, county taxes, city taxes, property taxes, utility taxes, sales tax, social security taxes, Medicare taxes, Medicaid taxes it would probably be 90%+ total.

Rich people who dont use loopholes already pay 75% in taxes, in the USA, which is why they all use loopholes.

Taxes in the USA are brutally high, that's why rich people all buy loopholes from politicians. Pretty sure that's by design, on the part of politicians.
