Slayer Leech is amazing for defences, Elementalist might clear a bit better. DPS is similar, Scion is probably a bit higher. Put it up as personal choice.

Generally, not bad starting gear. Do try to get a Sceptre and/or Dagger with Cast Speed + Spell Damage + Ele Pen + Added as X.

Remember Cast Speed if you've crit recently is BiS for jewels, but Attack Speed doesn't work. Try to swap to Darkness Enthroned for the belt and get 2 good jewels.

Probably after Uber Lab. It might take a few regrets.

You can instead grab it instead of Slayer in Merc Lab and then not waste any points, but at this point in the league you can get both labs at once.

nothing except that shroud is kind of expensive, was curious if you had any suggestions

A rare or a Tabula does fine for most content. Once you can save money, buy something better.
