Ikd where you would pull the passive points from. but as explained here you can get 104% more damage modifier when you throw points into Impale nodes. When the gem info is in POB i can take a better look into it.

Saving 8 points to get the impale cluster would mean losing a lot of life. The new Impale support + Dread banner + Pride could be an option instead of Hatred.

But don't just focus on what you're getting and forget about what you're giving up. We'd lose hatred and one of our support gems. So don't just say 100% more. It may be more but a lot less than that.

Looks interesting but we'll see.

Also apparently you can now support Flesh and Stone with Maim. But you wouldn't know about it if you read this forum. You have to go to reddit to get any actual info on this game.

So, Flesh and Stone + Maim :
Nearby enemies take 30% increased physical damage, with 29% mana reservation.

Might be even better than HoP. We'll see. Exciting stuff.

Do you see any reason to go Longshot?

We don't have support in PoB yet but in all probability Pride will now replace Hatred. At least 19% more physical damage is great and for bosses it's 39% more !!! It works very well with this build as we need to be close to the boss anyway.
Flesh and Stone + Main may replace Herald of Purity but we'll have to see if it's better. For now it's just an option.

3.7 tree and gear update when? :D

@Aias_o_Telamonios Are you playing it in this league?

I'm trying it out as SSF starter. At what point (level, gem link, etc..) have you noticed that stronger feel during leveling in the past where you start destroying things instead of it feeling slow?

This is an atack build so your damage is mostly determined by your weapons and not gem levels. If you're SSF and can't find the leveling uniques you need then you're going to have to craft good claws. Otherwise your damage will be low. You can't really play SSF without crafting.

Edit: PoB has added the new skill changes and shows a VERY SIGNIFICANT damage boost for ST. Pride and Flesh and Stone have also been added but there's no way to input how long you're close to the boss to get the full damage boost from Pride. Also there is currently no support for the impale mechanism.

Pride seems better for bosses than Hatred. We need to stay close to them anyway so we'd get the full benefit quite often. It's hard to be sure though. Also Hatred has the increased crit watcher's eye which is super nice. I'd say try both options and see what works for you.

Now as for HoP vs Flesh and Stone. If you use HoP you also use Maim in your ST. If you use Flesh and Stone you link Maim to that and use Impale in your ST. Both options give more or less the same damage but with FaS you also get the impale mechanism. While this isn't yet supported by PoB it does add significant damage so I'd recommend it. You should also combine it with Dread Banner but that will leave you with 12% unreserved mana so you should only do this when you have Enlighten.
