Super Budget Mapping Build - Crimson Dance Perfect Agony Gladiator
One day, when I was messing around in standard, I asked myself "What would happen if I were to optimize a build around bleeding damage? After all, poison based builds exist, so why not bleeding?" After fucking around for a bit in Path of Building and respeccing an old character in standard, I got... a surprisingly powerful end result. The build mostly stacks ailment damage, and while it does require some investment to start pushing red maps, but I was able to effortlessly get it to yellow maps in the first week of incursion softcore.
Pros: -VERY cheap (I spent maybe 15c getting to mapping, and 5 of that was a decent jewel) -Good single target damage -Reasonable clear thanks to bleedsplosions -High Mobility makes kiting easy -Low hit damage makes reflect maps doable Cons: -Impervious maps (Chance to avoid poison/blind/bleed) are a huge drop to your bossing and clear -Blade Flurry's charging mechanic requires a second to get maximum damage bleed stacks -A bit on the squishier side -Requires more serious investment to hit red mapping viable damage Skill Trees 31 Point starting tree

At this point, the build starts grabbing chance to bleed and crimson dance, as well as the blood in the eyes ascendancy node. With a chance to bleed support in the main skill, the build easily gets 100% chance to inflict bleeding.

This bit is mostly about getting decent defences: More life, Acrobatics, and Phase Acrobatics. With the cruel lab ascendancy node Gratuitous Violence, the chance to bleed nodes on the left side of bloodletting wheel can be repecced for the single bleed damage node on the right. The bleedspolsions are where this build really starts to pick up, since it makes packs go down much more easily.

At this point, the build switches from generic one handed weapons to claws, grabbing several crit nodes as well as Perfect Agony. With Rive now available, the chance to bleed nodes in the dirty techniques wheel can be dropped for the damage node.
For the jewel socket, a phys damage/dot damage/bleeding damage jewel works best, and thankfully, they're very cheap. https://pastebin.com/Rryw5fiR Gear Pretty much every unique the build uses is dirt cheap. Some of them may be a tad expensive at league start, but they drop very quickly. Rive In addition to being a high-DPS weapon, Rive's 2% physical DOT per 10 dexterity means that each one of these will be providing between 70-80% bleeding damage, giving 140-160% bleeding damage when dual wielded. Kintsugi Kitsugi is an all-around good choice, though another unique or rare evasion body can easily suffice. The biggest benefit to Kintsugi is the "less damage taken if you haven't been hit recently" mod, which meshes well with the hit-and-run playstyle of the build. This biggest problem with using it (and in fact any pure evasion chest) is that the 6L setup requires 4 red sockets, so colouring can be a bit of a pain Atziri's Step Like Kintsugi, Atziri's Step is not pivotal for the build, but provides some nice bonuses in the form of life, evasion, and spell dodge. The only downside to using it and Kitsugi is that they don't synergize as well with the next item... Blasphemer's Grasp The major tool to doing endgame mapping with this build, a Vulnerability on hit Blasphemer's Grasp is BiS for this build. A level 12 Vulnerability provides 35% increased physical damage taken and 30% increased Physical DOT taken, combined for a whopping 65% increased Bleeding damage taken. The big difficulty with using these is that in order to stack the ailment damage from the gloves, you'll need to use elder items for as many rare slots as possible, which is not cheap to do while capping resistances. Thankfully, essence crafting makes this much more doable This is probably the most expensive part of the build, and even then, I only spent around 17c on it. Miscellaneous rares These are just here to stack life, damage, and resistances. Gems Main Skill: Blade Flurry/Double Strike-Melee Physical Damage-Chance to Bleed-Maim-Deadly Ailments-Brutality Double Strike does more damage and has less buildup, but Blade Flurry has better range and coverage. Change between them as needed. Whirling Blades-Faster Attacks-Culling Strike-Fortify You get an extreme amount of mobility from this setup, which is very enabling to the high-mobility playstyle. Vaal Double Strike-Melee Physical Damage-Brutality-Bloodlust THE BOYS are a great addition to any build Cast When Damage Taken-Immortal Call-Increased Duration No reason not to run one of these besides socket colours.
