[3.13] TOXIC RAIN + HERALD OF AGONY Pathfinder Build (6-8K life) (UBER ELDER done!) +VIDEO GUIDE!

Your point #1 says we can only have 20 spores at a time. Is there a test showing that this is the case? If so, this puts a lot of stuff in question.

I am building a toxic rain trickster, focusing on buffing the dot, we can get up to 600k dps, assuming there is no limit to the spores.

I personally found that the dps increases significantly from attack speed, skill duration, and dot buffing. I am at 6ish aps, with 2.15s of dots as trickster.

5 spores per shot, if only 20 spores are allowed, I can only shoot 4 times before replacing the old pods.

I did record slow-mo with quill rain and never got more than 20 pods on the ground. This was without Dying Sun though.
keep in mind pods have limited area of effect and you will not have them ON TOP OF EACH other for combined dot damage. This is why dot scaling is not really worth it. You will be lucky if boss would walk over 2-3-4 pods before they explode

The dot of toxic rain stacks. Use quill rain for massive dot stacks. It can surpass CA.

For DoT damage it cannot. It stacks only before explosion and only in a very small area around the pod.

Yeah, most of people are using drillneck for secondary it while drillneck neither work on CA or Toxic secondary dot damage.

have you ever considered taking a gold defensive quiver to take a OP ring or amulet ?

Also, could you please send me a proof that the pods deals 80% of your initial damage hit ?
Because to me, I just rely on the description of the skill which I believe is the right way to do. Toxic rain ‘’Fire a number of arrows into the air that rain down around the targeted area, dealing damage to enemies they hit (that is your bow damage) and creating spore pods where they land. Each spore pod deals chaos damage over time (that is the dot damage in the tooltip) to nearby enemies and lessens their movement speed. After a short duration, the pods burst, dealing area damage.’’
And as explained, the spore pods deal only the stated dot damage in the tooltip, not any kind of damage related to your bow damage.

Defensive quiver would be really nice. I have one in PoB btw. Less damage, but more toughness. Drillneck is just for phys.
As for 80% damage. You can see it by the mob HP. Get a fat mob, shoot toxic rain. Watch how much of damage the dot and the explosion does. Explosion will most likely be at 80%. I noticed it while levelling. The explosion always was stronger and always finished all monsters. The dot may be enough to finish tiny mobs entirely, but for the fat ones yoi will clearly see how much explosion does

If you use Mirage archer support then it will help you to shoot more pods and with more pots-> more Dot so if youre using Lioneye Glares or any high phys rare bow then mirage archer will not just be useful in clearing maps but also help you at single target damage.Quill rain may not need the Mirage archer support since it already had really high attack speed.

Good point btw. Mirage archer will create fat powerful pods with fat bow indeed

Alright guys,

1. Quill Rain vs High PDPS bow vs +skills box, what would you choose for the Toxic rain?
2. Does Crawler from HoA scale from our bow damage?
