You forgot mentioning flame dash as a travelling skill, it is usually one of the best ones when you don't want to do any heavy investment in your momentskill.
Sadly, flame dash doesn't allow you to by pass the blue memory void.

I've exclusively been using flame dash this league and I've had no issues with jumping across the void. As long as you're using Attack in Place then flame dash have a decent maximum range after the 3.4. changes. Sure you can't move across the entire screen, but I've never felt like I have needed it so far in the league.

Hello guys,

It's my first league effectively playing PoE and I'm having a blast!
This build is amazing since I'm not dying like a noob, haha.

But here comes some issues. I recently installed PoB and when comparing the damage with this build I'm way, way, way down and I don't really know why.
The only thing my noob mind see a difference is that PoB is not putting any physical damage on the calculation tab for the HoA.
https://prnt.sc/n118y5
Compared with the build
http://prntscr.com/n119ho

Because of it, I don't know if my damage is fine or trash.

Here is my PoB https://pastebin.com/NSdhKNaK

And since I'm here already, what is the difference between a ghastly jewel and a normal one? Just because the ghastly can be socket into an abyssal socket?

If anyone has the spare time to help a noob out I'd be glad.

I'm currently on mobile so I can't check your pob, but have you under configuration put virulence stacks to 40? If you haven't that should show a more realistic single target number.

Another difference between ghastly and cobalt jewels are the mods that they can roll. Ghastly has up to +50 flat life while cobalt has up to 7% increased. For our purpose will ghastly jewels often be the better choice.

Thanks That was it! My damage jumped from 19K to 200K LOL. So I'm actually building it correctly.

Since that is the only difference between the jewels I'll stick to mine, haha, ghastly jewels are too expansive for now.

You are right, after your post I tested it.

Another proof to never trust reddit.
Thank you so much for this build, i've been enjoying it so bad this last week, already lvl 90 <3

I know this is kind off topic but :

As mentioned above, I chosen to variate from the build with Lioneye Vision instead of the Calamity in order to focus on armor layer instead of evasion/ES.
I did it with the goal of being able to survive any very bad big slam if our luck runs out (block then evasion).

Yet, as I play, and never encountered issues so far I remember old theorycraft posts (last time I played was abyss) about what armor it takes to tank those said slams. And I believe to remember the amount of armor and HP needed is big.

Can someone give me some insight or link to such knowledge?
As armor is as kind of diminishing return as increasing damages hit goes, without knowing how hard those biggest slam are, I'm in the blur about if my choice was useful or not.

And while I'm off topic, how much chaos resist do you think we need to be relatively safe (including when doing Chaluya)?

The wiki site should have what you need. But a thumbrule is that you'll only mitigate 10% of your armour value from big hits. I.e. 50k armour can mitigate 5k dmg. Pob also has a function where you can decide the value of the incoming hit. It is by default 1000 but for checking the effectiveness of armour I usually put it to 5k or 10k. You'll find the option under the configuration tab.

As long as you have positive chaos res you should be good to go. 50%+ to feel safe

With Herald of agony and hatred 96% of my mana pool is reserved. This is just enough to use abyssal cry and shield charge.

It is however not enough to proc the curse on hit or the cast when damage taken setup.

I don't have enough currency to buy an enlighten support at the moment. Is there any other way to fix this issue while saving for the enlighten gem?
