So much difference in DPS - stuck on progress

Hello experts!

I need your help. I'm not doing progress anymore :-(
I was freaking out when seeing what other exiles do have on DPS.

This player has a Total DPS of 15,148,131. How the hell can this be?

I have done the labs, have decent items. So why am I so far away from the above player?

--> What do I have to buy / what do I have to replace on my gear?
Is it mainly the bow?

are you trying to copy this build? you're basically not even the same build at the moment.

and im not exactly sure what this poe buddy thing is, but your settings and stuff are nowhere near the same thing. im not even sure what skill your dps is showing for. im guessing just the basic attack

you clearly have more dps than 38k. and btw to compare yourself to a lvl 100 fully optimized and on the extremely high end of DPS in general is....not ideal.

Everything you linked there is better than what you have. In that buddy boi thing why do you have so many skills? And like mustard said it's probably showing your dps for some 3l skill you got there

its basically everything. this game is full of multipliers and when you raise all of them by relatively small amount, you end up with huge difference.. He is max level, and his build is min-maxed (for example, some of his jewels are each worth more than a reasonable budget for some other builds)

also he has everything running in the poebuddy showcase, all the possible buffs and all the flasks. His reliable dps will be much lower, but still very high

his build is rather specific, he is using dexterity (around 1k of it) to gain lots of added damage from his bow's shaper mod. this type of damage scaling is very rare among players..

your gear and tree are fine.. the weakest part is your belt. And tbh, I can see that pretty often. The socketed jewels are crap. I know streamers use it, but thats because they put very good multiple Ex jewels in there.. Either get the good rolled stygian, or good jewels..

also, you havent told us yet what main skill you are using (the skill section is a big mess and you dont have anything checked in config). The other guy uses Barrage, which is a single target skill. You will never reach similar numbers with skills like RoA. With TS, yes, could be, but it will never show up on tooltip because noone knows how many times you hit per one attack (unlike Barrage, which counts all projectiles, but those have some spread and will not hit the same target unless you are very close to it).

Ok, that means, basically
- I have to replace my jewels?
- replace my belt?

This can't change that much, isn't it?

Yes, I'm using Tornado Shot as main skill. In my hideout with Wrath and Herald of Ice active, it displays 52,000 DPS. Didn't sound that much to me...?!

What about the bow? Any suggest? I already tried Windripper 6L. But that was worse than my current bow.

What abou the quiver? I tried already Rigwalds Quills. But I didn't notice any improvement during maps.

your tornado shot has more dps than that. tooltip in game is not accurate literally in the slighest for 90% of the skills.

You're so very helpful and I mean that in the most sarcastic way. It's people like you who ruin the experience for those truly seeking help. Whatever happened to just helping someone who's asking for help? I guess the good ol days of just helping one out are gone.
