how are people capping resists? Basically you wont be getting anything from 1 ring, Chest, Shield, Amulet, Belt, Gloves, and minimal fire res from Helm. Theres no way you can get close to capping just from 1 ring and boots. Also managed to make this wand after spamming like 20 chaos. Guess its usable

You can get 160 total resist on a ring pretty cheap and if you are willing to spend a few ex it can go up to 190 with new catalysts.

Radiant crusade node is giving 20% all resist and another 8% from faith and steel, also 20% all res if you are using rainbowstride boots.

im currently sitting on a 70/39 circle and I wonder if it's worth grabbing a higher damage one or maybe try to upgrade something else?

I posted my gear maybe a page or two back or you can click on my profile to see how I have capped resistance. I'm 100% capping it with just a ring, boots, and then the 30% fire resistance on our BiS helm. Once I make the switch to my endgame rare belt that will give yet another slot to cap resistance with but it is 100% possible with just 2 slots to hit it.

As far as your wand goes, you can definitely use it as a starter wand. There's upgrades out there but it's everything you need to get started.

If you really want to upgrade it use divine orbs to reroll the stats on it, unless you have a corrupted ring this will be a lot easier than trying to buy a high stated one.

Just a few comments to help folk out.

First, get lvl 31 hoa if you can, it’s insane. I was able to make a +1 amulet for about 4ex and the damage increase is quite significant.

Second, I had a question a while back about hogm. I just did it t16, a8 and it was a breeze. I did have trouble with the last guy who uses scorching ray so I used a balefire on him. The scepter was basically free and I bought lvl 20 gems for a total of less than 20c. My flayers did die but eventually I just stopped resummoning them and they really weren’t needed. Little crawler just deleted nearly every mob by himself. Just make sure you resummon at least one spectre before you leave the zone so you don’t lose them.

Speaking of summoning spectres, assuming you have a trigger wand, you can just remove spirit offering. Then flame dash will cast desecrate for you every 4 seconds. I find it much easier than moving more gems around, also much faster.

I’m afl a bit but I’ll be around a fair amount today (home sick) so feel free to hit me up for spectre summoning. The way you do it is just join my hideout then cast desecrate while I’m there and you’ll get them.

Bought a Lethal Pride and after 3 Divines ended up with something that gives 5% str on the 30 str node in the radius. Also it gives the Fearsome Force minion node 10% chance to intimidate on hit, and Unnatural Calm gets 20% Armour. Corruption gives 5% strength as well but I dunno if its worth getting chaos damage nodes just for 5% str. Prism Weave also gives 20% armour but again dunno if worth wasting points on Wand nodes just for 20% armour

HoAg, empower, dmg on full life, pierce, vicous projectiles and either vile toxins or hypothermia (vile toxins is more dps when you have 10 poison up but hypothermia is always active).

the dps is basically identical as the 3g2r1b setup assuming you have poison on the enemy which you always do.

you can also go for 4g1r1b if the price is similar or maybe cheaper. you use minion dmg instead of dmg on full life. the end result is actually slightly more dmg because of global minion modifiers on your wand.

the benefit of either 4g2r or 4g1r1b over the standard colours of 3g2r1b is that you need less mana reservation. it's 2% less reduction meaning you can optimize auras better, you don't need an enlighten 4 or expensive reduction jewels. but the end result is identical dps on bosses which is all that really matters. the crawler is one shotting the screen on juiced up t16s anyway when it comes to trash

A level 3 empower works just fine? Right now I have 8ex and 200c to use. Also for the gem recommendations in gloves it has multiple options. I can't afford a lvl 4 empower so looks like im gonna get a +1 glove. What should my gems be for my gloves?

lvl3 empower and enlighten are fine. you don't necessarily need a +1 glove either. they are final upgrades to optimize the build when you already have everything else in place. i only just got lvl 4 enlighten earlier today and i don't have a +1 glove either

Please can anyone tell me why this ring makes me do 0 lightning damage with my ball lightning? i bought it thinking it would give me a good boost to my HoA (cannot afford mana res reduction one yet) but it makes my ball lightning only do chaos damage with messes with my EE

check your weapon. can't use EE until you swap it out for a +lvl minion wand
