Thanks for the guide...this will be my league start ssf. Good luck all!
Awesome Royella!

Your welcome and good luck as well!

Thanks! I hit level 20 this morning before work. I play Xbox ssf standard. I like to keep a log of gear progression, it's fun to look back at how your toon grows. Here is my gear so far:

Have not played in a year.... this is the kind of build I like simple & fun... just started playing at level 13!

One question, I noticed only one jewel taken in the passive skill tree, why?

I am not a skilled player... I have always been told to get a minimum of 3 to 5 Jewels as they are very powerful.

Anyone explain this to me?

This is his explanation on the guide under skill tree:

"Jewel - Jewel slots are amazing. Jewels are items you can find that you can actually allocate on your tree. They can give almost anything from health, damage, resists...anything. We only have one jewel slot selected :(. I'd love to put more in, many other guides would. But I don't have the ability to remember what each of my builds needs if a decent jewel drops while I'm playing. And I don't have the ability to focus on 7 jewels per build are remember what I'm doing. So one is plenty enough for me."
Hey Yipp!

Thanks! I'm glad you're liking it! Welcome back to the game! Jewels are really strong. If you're ever making your own build, go for as many as you can/like. I have a horrendous memory with my symptoms so I keep it to one jewel. Feel free to modify the guide anyway you want though!

Hi Wrecker, love the builds, I used your RF Chieftain to get off the ground in Legion and I'm enjoying playing this build. I have a few questions:

1) Now that Blight is a part of the base game, do you have suggestions for passives to anoint on an amulet?

2) I noticed that between 3.8 and 3.9, you de-allocated Crimson Dance and shifted away from bleed stacking. Do you think that keystone still has any merit or should we stick to stacking more life and block with the leftover points?

3) I'm not sure how universal this experience is, but I ended up facing a Metamorph that spread caustic ground quicker than I could react and I died immediately. Do you think Shakari might be more worthwhile to take in place of Gruthkul, or do you have some other way of dealing with caustic ground?
Hey TheDutchSanta!

Awesome! I love the RF build. It's so fun to play RF without needing gear. It's so fun. I'm glad you're liking this one too! You like your Close Quarter Combat.

1. They're expensive but if you got Resolute Technique or Vaal Pact, you'd be able to save yourself a lot of nodes and get more health and leech elsewhere. Way of the Warrior and Steadfast are great too!

2. I went away from bleed because our bleed chance in 3.8 wasn't 100%. So the 3.8 damage on paper was big, but it was circumstantial. 3.9's damage isn't based on circumstance. So if you're going to add bleed, make sure your chance to bleed is guaranteed, or it won't really be worth deviating from.

3. Chaos is easy to defend but hard to find. You just need more Chaos Resist. Now, I remember one of the interviews with GGG during the Syndicate league (a big chaos resist league) where they said that Chaos Resist at 0 is the same as having the other resists at 75%. Make sense? So the damage reduction you get at 0 chaos resist (not negative) is the same damage reduction as the elemental resists being at 75%. So just invest in some Chaos resists in the game and try to get it to at least 0. Blocking doesn't block Damage over Time.

Good questions! And thanks for the kind words :).

Hello! Very nice build! Just started on Metamorph. Is the update going to vary much from this? Want to make sure I don't get too deep in the game just yet if it is. Thanks!
Hey Ericjgreen5!

Thanks! I hope you enjoy the league! I update my guides every league. With that, I actually make new threads for each league so that all the comments and replies are relevant to the current content and guide.

So this guide won't be changing again until 3.10...and hopefully it won't' change at all then either (though I'll still make a new post).

So feel free to go hard! Let us know how it goes!

Would another skill work well with the build like Cyclone or Lacerate instead of Bladestorm? Anything in particular you would need to change (besides socket color obviously) for one of them to work fine?
Ya. Cyclone would totally work. I'd add Infused Channelling Suppor to it personally. But ya, any physical melee skill will work. I made the tree as general as possible so that you could use any weapon your skill allows. I just stacked melee and physical damage on the tree. So pick anything you like.

I'm enjoying this build as well. I too am somewhat of a min/maxer by nature but I'm a lazy one and way too old to have the "enthusiasm" for digging through Path of Building to figure this stuff out for myself... ;) Have seen some interesting responses suggesting shields and such, if anyone else has helpful unique suggestions I'm all ears! Or, all eyes since this is text... Aw, you know what I mean... :)

Also digging the vibe in the thread. I daresay Wrecker's positive attitude (and "we're all friends here" responses) is the basis for it. Good on you, Wrecker! The world needs as many positive influences as it can get these days.
Thanks Seafodder!

I'm glad you're enjoying the build and league. I'm sorry I can't really help out in regards to uniques.

Thanks for the kind words. That's very kind of you. The game can be so complicated, especially for those new to the game. I'm very blessed that such kind and compassionate people post on my threads. You're very kind to say what you said and it means a lot. Thank you. And thank you (and everyone else!) for making this a great place for PoE!

Enjoying the build as well, only level 33 at the moment, but with pride, flesh and stone and blood and sand reserving mana, I don't have much mana and am constantly out. I checked some of the gear and stats and only saw minimal mana regen, is there another source of mana leech or regen that i'm missing or am i just too low of level at the moment and it gets better later?

Thanks again for the build, always enjoy them.
Hey Zythixx!

I'm glad you're liking it! Ya, leech is based off of damage and so as your gems level and you get more sockets linked, leech will be sustainable. Until then just run fewer auras. I'd personally keep Pride off until you see leech is all you need for mana. So, you're not doing anything wrong. As you said, it's just you and your gems are a little low. As your weapon and gems level, it'll get better shortly.

Thanks for the thanks! It's a pleasure to have you.

Hope everyone is enjoying Metamorph League so far!

Does anyone have a solid recommendation in regards to which anointment on amulet we should aim for? I know there isn't necessarily "1" answer to this question. (also, trying to consider the general pathing in which our passive tree directs us overall).

Thanks!
