I made it more user friendly. You just have to manage to start it now.

Will this tool work with Steam install? A bit of a long shot, but I'm trying to decide whether to play through Steam or stand alone and I'd hate it to have a defragmented ggpk in steam folder after a while and not be able to fix it.

In the same boat here :D
Any update on that?

So we turned Gorge into a red map"
I believe the GGPK in the Steam install will always remain defragmented, so this tool isn't needed there. Running it on the Steam install might mess with Steam's update mechanism too, so don't do that.
What happens if steam users use this?

edit: ok i've read your last reply, np

Wait so steam defrags the internal file structure? or just the disk file structure?
My original install was 0.9.13.18 back in 2012 and no fresh install since then. Ran the defragmenter now and hey:

Content.ggpk size went from 6.7 to 4.0 GB,
initial loading time from potato to around 40s.

This is a pretty solid tool. Thanks.
Just an FYI.. the version posted doesn't seem to work on Linux machines anymore.

Just wanted to put that out there.
