I'm definitely also leveling a HoA with this character.

There are 2 different mods, 1 specifically for channeling skills (up to -4) and one for non-channeling skills (up to -7).
Maybe you are confusing the 2?

Second medium jewel is always nice ofc!
I don't know yet if I'll do it personally since the normal tree already gives so much that I want to get, but if you can spare the points, ofcourse do it!

I think you misunderstood.

I meant more that by adding the second cluster, we can now fit in Tempest Shield for free with out having to remove any other auras. And still stay at 96 points.

It looks like we can fit in:

Determination, Discipline, Defiance Banner, TS, and Artic Armor all together and not need an enlighten. Check out the POB I posted to show them all fitting in (I used Herald of Ash in place of TS because TS is not yet updated in POB).

The -4 should be enough though along with a couple of tweaks to the tree. I can't believe we almost missed this.

If it wasn't for the arcane surge support question I don't think I would have noticed until I was in maps and wondering what was going on :)

Ideas:

Not use defiance banner, frees up a lot of unreserved, probably enough without any changes if you use mana flask also

3 points to Arcane Capacitor

2 points to get Mythic Balwark
+20 mana regen
+12 spell block, so we can reclaim spell block points from elsewhere

Trading the purity of flesh wheel for Tireless wheel (below glancing blows) costs 1 extra point but gives:
-3 mana cost per cast (9 instead of 12)
+100 life
-8 chaos resist
-200 ES

2 points to get Righteous degree
+27 available mana
+10 mana regen
mana cost 10 instead of 12

2 points to get deep thoughts
+28 mana
+21 mana regen

I also had to put in Rightous Decree to make it work. Are you able to sustain with out Rightous Decree?

At least we still get a little more damage when we over cap Spell Block I think due to the mastery which gives us 3% damage for every 5% spell block we have.

Aaaha ok, just checked the PoB, and yea, great idea!
Saves quite some points on spell block and having extra aura's is always nice!

You're right, we would need a little more regen.
I'm not sure but right now my pob sits only at 30% spellblock because the Safeguard notable is still bugged and TS is still missing. This means my Mystic Bulwark lacks 45% more mana regen, which might push it over the edge without allocating Righteous Decree.

Maybe that's going to be enough. With the ring craft and Mystic Bulwark we're getting into the "handwave it away" territory I think :)

oh!! I forgot Mystic Bullmark is not at full strength yet! Thanks for pointing that out.

We probably just need to wait this out but I think the key item we can't get around (with out a ton of tree points) is making sure one of our rings get the -4 mana mod on it.

If I am counting correctly, I have an empty socket because I tossed Void Sphere.

That means I can socket the following in the correct colors:

Discipline, Determination, Arctic Armor, Herald of Ash, Defiance Banner and Tempest Shield and then at will I can decide which of AA or HOA to use.

This will make testing them out easy and also allow to change based on the type of environment we are in.

At least until we can finally get Herald of Purity into the build, then we would need to drop one or get an Unset ring.
