[3.21] Aegis Incinerate Elementalist - Tank with over 10mil Shaper DPS!

There's probably ways to get more that I'm not considering though and really want to see what the (I'm assuming) more reasonable 9M dps looks like.

I got to ~9-10m with just some basics. The amulet for two more levels to incin, the three level 5 awakened gems and their goodies and HOA in place of AA.

The other way to likely pick up a ton of damage is using scourge. They showed some +1 to all socketed gems type of scourge mods in the reveal.

@Clay

Btw in your first post you still have this statement "Another option would be to take the golem nodes in the Elementalist tree, which would make us immune again" but that is no longer true, golems don't give ailment immunity anymore, sadage

Correct, thanks!

I have adjusted the post ^^
Could you, pls, add PoB skill tree for inquisitor? Skill tree in top message is for elementalist only.

Due to the Inquisitor changes the last few leagues, we no longer recommend this build for Inquisitor. It runs much much better as an elemetalist now.

I highly recommend you give this a try as Elementalist. The wonderful folks in this thread did an amazing job theory crafting it with the new tree and skills. It looks every bit as strong offensively as it did before the massive nerfs.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will still feel good with out Fortify defensively.

I am being lured by the dark side. :)

I shiver in happiness when I see the damage when I turn on both Vaal Haste and Vaal RF at the same time.

Can you guys explain what is the optimal way is to use VRF in terms of mitigating the down side?

I am thinking of trying to time it just before a boss wakes up and then immediately drinking a instant life flask and then hope our ES leech is enough when the boss bonks me for the first time.

If you take the POB and change it to inquisitor (using Sanctuary, Pious Path, Augury of Penitence, and whatever), you can see it's a massive downgrade in damage. In addition, the +60% AOE from heart of destruction is so good. Incinerate feels bad without AOE and cast speed.

Part of the problem is the "whatever" - the last node adds almost nothing for this build anymore, maybe like 1.5% more damage or a bit more health/ES/crit with the stats.

What you do get with inquisitor with 3.16 is 50% increased effect consecrated ground you create, but that only gives you +1.5% life/ES regen (consecrated ground is base 5% regen now), 75% reduced curse effective (consecrated ground gives 50% base now) and another 7.5 increased damage taken for Sanctuary. Still outclassed by elementalist.

You do get long neck with no pants, of course. If you really want to you can use the same build, just link it up to inquisitor instead of elementalist and pick the nodes I mentioned.

what map mods are we avoiding this league?

No mana regen seems an obvious one to reroll.

Obviously reroll ele reflect until you get Bastion

Unless you have a lot of curse mitigation, I would reroll temp chains. Our belt really makes temp chains slow us to a crawl.

I am not sure I entirely understand the Elemental Equilibrium change. Do we want to reroll "players have EE" on maps?

Any others?

Here is the patch notes on EE: The Elemental Equilibrium Keystone Passive Skill now applies 25% Exposure of the Elements not Hit with, removing Exposure of the Elements you Hit with.

So the old EE just gives -50% resist, which allows massive stacking of negative resists on top of curses, massively adding to your damage.

Exposure you can not stack, so you can't use both EE and wave of conviction for example. EE's exposure being 25% would be used since that's better than WOC's 15%

EE on map would be a big damage loss, since mastermind of discord gives us 40% (25% on top of WOC's 15%), and EE on maps would remove it.

Can we simulate this in POB to see how much damage we lose?

I am not convinced it would be any bigger than mods that say "monsters are hex proof" or "monsters have more life", etc.

We have no problems with these type mods. Sure, we lose damage effectiveness but that is what many map mods cause. I have a feeling EE will be similar. Less damage but no real issues needed to spend currency to reroll.

When I reroll, I spend only to save my life (reflect damage type) or build won't function with out changes (no mana regen type of mods), or annoying ones like temp chains.

Sure, just disable wave of conviction. It's around a 38% loss for my hobo-ized POB.
