It's great to hear that it's doable to place the altar of ascendancy in different parts of the game. That presents an opportunity to do a bit of experimenting with having the altar of ascendancy in different locations, rather than just with Izaro the Boring and his Maze of Infinite Boredom.

For example, it might be accessible for a one-time use when one beats, uber elder, or Sirus A8. This accessibility could be RNG-based, rather than always present.

There are a lot more creative places and ways to make the altar of ascendancy available than are mentioned here. Calling up the altar could even be an event on its own, with its own questline that can vary by ascendancy.

Hopefully GGG rethinks keeping the AOA always and only with Izaro the Boring and his Maze of Infinite Boredom.

A decent mod + anoint talisman maybe ? If they can drop

this should be fun!

Quick question as I've never done these kinds of events before: will the character (and the loot) move to standard once done? Or is all the content deleted once the event is over?

If there is any chance of Oils dropping in Delve, you should make sure there's also a way to anoint items down in the delve.
I know some have access to the Blight Stashtab, but if you don't then Cassia is your only other option to anoint items.

If there are no oils in delve, then no problem, but if there are then it gives a great advantage to the users that have that blight stash tab.
