Noob question:

it is possible to use Arn's Anguish belt (brutal charges instead of endurance

for a 3% of triple damage each for brutal charge) and still cap the resist?

Sure.

You will have to focus on Elemental resist on other items and sacrifice some chaos resist.

The problem I see is the amount of Life you will be loosing. Melee Glass Cannons tend to die younger than most.
Hi there! I'm currently playing a flicker strike build that runs incredibly similair gear, ascendancy, and bandits choice. I love flicker strike, but I feel that it's personally too much of a pain to play against some bosses, though mapping is an absolute joke. I was hoping to transition to this cyclone build because of the control that it'd bring where I feel that I desperately need it. Anywho, with all of that said, I was mostly looking for assistance in transitioning my flicker strike build to your cyclone build, and to get your opinion on a few things.

My PoB is linked below, though last time I checked this link it was missing my Watcher's Eye for some reason, but regardless, I'm not really looking for help transitioning the passive tree and jewels, that's easy enough to follow. I'm moreso looking for guidance in terms of gear that is MANDATORY to replace. For instance, my gloves. Since I already have Vuln on hit covered on a ring, could I look to just craft a better pair of spiked gloves with +1 max frenzy charges and anything other than the +2 targets to strike skills? Another important one I had was about my weapon. It's obviously not ideal without Fortify level 1, and ideally I'd have that for the flicker strike build too, but I currently get around that by having a level 20 fortify gem socketed in place of close combat, is there a jewel that I could replace in your link setup safely for Fortify? I know that my damage will definitely be a tad lower, but I'm not too terribly concerned so long as it doesn't cuck the build somehow. Would a rare Elder/Warlord helmet with Global Crit Multi/Nearby Enemies take 9% increased phys dmg be a good alternative to abyssus? Other than that, I was just curious if Elusive/Tailwind boots were viable here as well?

Next time just give the link to the pob, since the binary itself is harder to copy paste.

Regarding items:
- You already have replica farrul's which is the most expensive one. Just craft a fleshripper, you should be able to do an amazing one with under 10 ex. Alter for level 1 fortify, imprint augment for attack speed, imprint regal for a 3rd affix and multimod. Do this, since you want fortify on hit and you want to be tanky enough not to constantly die as a cyclone slayer. Also your axe is quite bad for the build in general. You want a fleshripper base.
- gloves and vulnerability. There is always an option to have a vulnerability ring and a +1 frenzy charge gloves. But as you will notice, this will cost you WAAAY more than a good pair of hands of the high templar. I would go with hands of the hightemplar + vermillion ring because you need that hp + resists
- get your cluster jewels, especially the one with devastator. Cyclone feels amazing if mobs are 1 shot and they just pop. However, if you will not instantly kill them it will feel awful (they will get next to you and kill you!)
- I wouldn't trade out abyssus. Making too many changes which affects your dps will really make your build bad, since you want to kill things quickly. You have no block, evade or other real defensive mechanism, but killing things fast enough will prove your main line of defense.
- Ahn's anguish will remove your endurance charges. Which will affect your phys reduction and elemental resists. the build itself provides huge DPS and really relies on the endurance charges for it's tankiness. you might become a bit of a glass cannon. Try to get a hunter stygian vise and see how it feels with it. I don't think the dps boost is worth it.
- Tailwind boots are good. You don't really need elusive, but it won't be bad either.

Long story short: you are cutting dps from too many places at the time, while also gimping your defenses. The build will feel REALLLY bad if the dps doesn't kill mobs fast enough. I would suggest to craft your fleshripper and see how it feels with Abyssus, Farrul and no arn's anguish (just use a leather belt if no vise is available to you), then move from there to your heart's content.
any version with a crafted exquisite blade? i remember crafting a decent one back in legion and want to indludge in nostalgia even if it isn't as good as the axe.(btw am a crafting noob would appreciate if you can write steps on how to craft an exquisite blade that would work with this build)
My current gear:

I know the praxis is garbage but i kept running out of mana in party due to no leech if mobs died but i have a better ring. Anything i could replace though? At level 85 the only things i dont have are cluster jewels and watchers eye. Is that when my dps will pick up? I figured with this gear my dps would be high but its low.

Post here your PoB, I will check it out.

As a side note the Watcher's eye and the cluster jewels are huge part of the DPS, but you should still blaze through everything.

I checked your PoB and you forgot several checkmarks.

You can take my PoB as reference and in the configuration tab try to mimic my settings.

Here are some pointers for PoB to give you a more accurate DPS:
- check "Do you use frenzy charges"
- check "Do you use Endurance charges"
- check "Do you have fortify" - you will always do due to axe prefix
- check "Is cat's agility active" - you will have either agility or stealth active, but never both
- check "Is infusion active"
- change "Pride Aura Effect" to Maximum (you are comparing boss dps not mob dps)
- change "Melee Distance to enemy" to 10
- check "Is the enemy on consecrated ground"
- shange "Is the Enemy a Boss" to "Sirus"
- check in "Items" tab all your flasks

This should make your DPS 5M.

Now let's talk about your setup:

1. where is the "dread banner" ? (20/20 dread Banner = +20% dps)
2. where is your "ancestral warchief" (vaal preferably)? (+20% dps)
2. Your precission...why level 5 ? why not divergent ? Divergent precision with 20 quality = +2% damage.
3. "Masterful form" is the most important ascendancy (+10% dps)
4. Don't anoint life. Anoint "Frenetic" (+10% dps)

with these changes you should end up around 9M in PoB.

Now, you are level 85 so there is a lot of room to grow.

As far as your tree goes:
1. get watcher's eye with "Pride - impale"
2. Under "Vaal Pact" you have 3 nodes leading to "Spirit Void". These are totally useless. remove them and use the extra points on something else
3. Get your cluster jewels. They bring the most damage to the table.

With 1 cluster jewel and the watcher's eye I'm expecting you will be over 15M DPS with your gear at level 85, which is ALOT and I would expect for all content to be viable at this point.

Of course you will be a bit squishy, but life will come with levels eventually.

Hello, can you tell me what to do to get more DPS? I feel like i don't deal very much damage... What should i look for and focus on to get it ASAP?

Well you don't have much to upgrade your tree so you will need to go into min-maxing.

The tree jewels (other than the one with mana leech) can be better (focus on either AS or crit multiplier).

Your should really get a proper cluster jewel with either devastator (for faster clear) or surefooted striker (for more dps) instead of calamitous. And ofc take a "Damage with two handed weapons" cluster instead of that.

At level 89 you are better off to deallocate the 3 points leading to "Bannerman" and invest them into your cluster so you get the extra notable and the jewel socket (and ofc buy a crit multiplier / AS / life jewel).

Your axe can be improved, but to get a much better one would be quite expensive, so I would focus on min-maxim other items, especially tree jewels.

If you feel like spending, reforge your axe / buy another axe since your current one has 1 useless affix and it shows. Go in pob and hand craft an axe with fortify + T1 speed + T2 flat phys + crafted %phys + crafted crit+qual and see the difference in DPS.
