[3.15] Pathfinder ranger explosive concoction I NEED HELP

Here's what it looks like w/ beltimber, seems like it should be able to overlap mostly for bossing. I am invested into some AoE though but where the bottles explode it seems like they should be able to reasonably overlap. Missing is Dying Sun for another +2

I think i didn't get what you do to get the bonuses of the weapong, i tried to do and i did not get the bonuses

You can only get _global_ mods on the weapon to affect Explosive Concoction. e.g. % increased fire damage or global critical strike multiplier work. You do not get local mods from the weapon affecting Explosive Concoction because it doesn't attack with the weapon. Things like attack speed, critical strike chance, %increased physical damage, adds X-Y {any type} damage are all local modifiers that won't affect Explosive Concoction.
If you want more projectiles you can easily obtain 9 by using GMP and Greater Volley Support.

It makes a straight line of 9 explosions, but it's so wide that I doubt you will be able to shotgun most of the bosses with it.

I would suggest as a must also Frostferno and Carcass. It's a high QOL improvement and doesn't require you to fully link the body armor.

The more I play, the more I want to transition to Rider. It's hard for me right now to justify playing pathfinder

Mapping feels a bit clunky. Damage is in the right spot, on yellow maps just deleting any boss in 5 shots (2-3s).
My build: https://pastebin.com/W46Wa6GR
Status: Level 85 running Yellow maps because it's only the third day of the league. Avoid league mechanics of 'monsters do not grant flask charges' and 'immune to fire damage.' Also, don't run 'reflect ele damage' content. lol.

Just wanted to state that I am having a blast, pun intended, with this build. Playing as a Pathfinder, but really want to try Ascendant as Pathfinder and Saboteur! AoE is amazing, per later. Currently using a helm that gives "+2 to level of socketed projectile gems." Links are EC-GMP-Inspiration Support-Elemental Damage with Attacks Support. Using Surgeon Sapphire and Topaz flasks until I get the Master Surgeon ascendancy. Master Alchemist sounds amazing. I just want to have sustain for the Maven encounters and other boss fights.

Since I am assuming GGG is going to bug fix having a weapon instead of a shield, I decided to have some fun with it. That said, I believe the shield playstyle is best because shield charge is amazing now that Quicksilver flasks don't let you run as far.

The Beltimber looks promising and I triggered the ability with Phase Run and a Dash variant. The main issue is Far Shot; we want to shotgun and receiving a penalty for being up close and personal is very noticeable! Grelwood Shank has the issue of requiring to be hit! I switched to a Lavianga's Wisdom. And wow, 25% increase Area of Effect is amazing, hence my desire to play Saboteur. That increased AoE makes shotgunning super easy.

The final key to my build is Flesh and Stone in Sand stance. In the Duelist area, there is a node cluster called Versatile Stance. This cluster gives 25% increased AoE! The blind effect has also saved my bacon on several occasions while playing without the shield.

I hope I helped someone! I am keeping my eye on this page. If the weapon is bugfixed, then I am going to switch to Mutewind's Pendant for the Warcry fun. Infernal Cry covers enemies in ash lowering speed and increases fire damage taken! Rallying Cry might not work, but fingers crossed. Enduring Cry for endurance charges.

An Ewar's Mirage with corrupted +1 proj (bought one for 20c today, for now it's not expensive at all) is strictly better than beltimber/grelwood.

I've been testing around with the shotgunning, even with 46% inc. aoe and 12 total projectiles all 12 were shotgunning on relatively small mobs. Which is amazing, I think this skill has a lot of potential for single target.
Found a Harvest last night and got the +100 charges flask buff (+100 charges, -1 charge every time the flask is used). However, since EC doesn't "USE" your flask (merely draws charges from it), the buff never decreases.

Good way to get all your EC Flasks to 150+ charges. :)

Oh that’s a great find! I’m using a perpetual topaz in the 5th slot with a micro-distillery, so the enchant gives me a lot of margin to never run out of lightning damage

Though I think the 50% reduced charges used is the stronger enchant, as you can stack it with chemist (20%) and tree/belt (35%) and never use any charges, which means master surgeon always goes to your other four flasks

Is anyone here doing ignite / poison EC? I'm planning a volkuurs guidance pathfinder but can't figure out how to scale it on the tree, should I go for the fire / elemental nodes to scale the fire damage or go for the poison / chaos / dot nodes?

Yea, I'm digging through this as well.

Here's where I'm at.

My thoughts:
- Run shield and UA (duh).
- Stack block since using a shield anyway. Shield Dash, etc.
- Flasks are key (we need charges to do attacks), so heavily invest in anything that increases charges.
- Look for Elem. Damage nodes and Projectile Dmg nodes along the way.
- Also life, lots of life as per usual. Hence poking into the Life ring.

This is only 76 nodes so I'm trying to decide where to grab damage from on the tree. I could go into the Projectile Damage ring just south of Acrobatics, but I'm not sure if Chain/Fork is going to be a core support gem for this gem. Maybe?

Also no clue on gear currently.

in answer to fork and chain it does not work in any option tried it all. I can get a max of 330k damage out at lvl 95, but that is on pob so about 230k+-. Pob recently updated adding the skill. these values are while using unique pieces/
PoB for what I tried : https://pastebin.com/DHL8qkNC
survivability is actually a little lack luster struggling with maps T 1 and 2.
some of the problems could be solved if the defense in the pathfinder ascendancy was not removed
