I know that Specters are strong and its why I didn't try summoner sooner, the changes to Desecrate might help me overcome my unlove for specters, maybe if I need more firepower in maps or bosses, but for now, I'll try without, hoping it might just slow me down a bit and not leave me too weak.

I agree, TrueEvil. I LOVE this new Atlas Passive tree. It makes the endgame fun for everyone!

This build can take a good amount of damage. But, it also takes a full build to appreciate it. For example, you need the keystone Glancing Blows to get the full value of our block chance, or our Determination and Defiance Banner need to level up to get decent physical damage mitigation. So just keep in mind of your weaknesses as you progress.

If you're dying to the Archnemesis monsters, one struggle I have is noticing the mods I'm putting on the monsters. I'm guilty of looking only at the reward and forgetting about the monster that I need to fight first. I do the same thing with Metamorph monsters ;). You can build some INSANE monsters with both mechanics. So be sure to pay attention to that.

The build will be able to do lots of harsh end-game content once it's all setup. But there will be the occasional Critical hit that a monster does, in a crazy rolled map, that will hurt tons (notice your map mods too).

When I use the POE planner link, I keep getting the 3.16 version updated back in October. Knowing me, I'm probably doing something stupid. I've been using the pictured passive tree so no big deal, just thought I'd point this out in case I'm not the only one having this issue.

Thanks again for the great guide and item filters. I've played this build for the last 4 or 5 leagues. I'm addicted!!

EDIT: I had to clear the POE Planner cache from my browser, and now the 3.17 version is populating like desired. As I figured, it was an easy fix!!

Guess I just have to get better gear then with more armor/hp and chaos resistance. If only those items wouldn't be so expensive, ha.

I also run Skeletons in a ring slot to be able to send the zombies after high priority targets. Additionally I found the unique gem that turns Skellies into mages which is a nice DPS boost, I think. Got a socket on the way that had enough int nodes nearby without investing too much into it.

Skeleton mages are awesome. I'm playing with a buddy who's doing that build this league. I won't make a guide for that though, for two reasons: 1) It requires a specific drop, a unique jewel. If that jewel came via quest reward, then that'd be different. But it's only available as a drop and I like my SSF guides to be less dependent on specifics. 2) It's way to flahsy and bright for me. It'd exhaust my brain so quickly. So it's not for me.

I've had some brutal RNG this league as well. I'm running around with crappy life rolls (or non at all) and I'm barely capped on resists. It makes gear swapping tough. Hang in there. The drops will come.

Hi Wrecker, such a great guide as usual!! This Zombie Necromancer is always my favourite, and easy to play, starter build.

I have just started mapping, and I made a couple of changes. I'd like to know what do you think.

1) The new Eternal Blessing Support seems to let us have a free Pride aura if we link it to Pride only.
No need to have Arrogance Support anymore, and I still have some mana (around 20%) to eventually reserve. I'm thinking to replace Defiance Banner, reaching around 30% of reservable mana, with something else. Any suggestion? What about Flesh and Stone?

2) I moved Golem and Feeding Frenzy Support in a four-linked helm with Spectres and Maim Support. In this way, spectres and golem share the Maim and the Aggressiveness (from Feeding Frenzy). Do you see any drawbacks?

How about Ashes of the Stars Onyx Amulet in this build?
