Hello Tolkien.

I am following your build and I got a question.
I am seeing that my life flask are not keeping with my attacks and are constantly empty. I am using the restless ward version and I am considering swapping to Pathfinder. Would you recommend it? If not how can you make your life flask to keep with the attack speed? Also I feel that the poison dmg goes really slow. Do you have any advice?
Thanks

The Deadeye version uses Nature's Adrenaline Forbidden Flesh/Flame jewels to essentially steal the Pathfinder flask charge ascendency. If you don't have those, you will struggle with flask charges. Make sure you are taking the other flask nodes, especially Replenishing Remedies. The Soul of Ryslatha Pantheon also helps, as does the +1 charge every 3 seconds Flask Mastery. It is technically possible to have permanent flasks on the Deadeye version just like the Pathfinder version because of those jewels, but you have to spec into all the necessary flask nodes.

I'm using 2xLife Flasks to double the benefit of flask nodes, and I never run out of life while mapping - though I will if I spam attack continuously for too long when there aren't enough mobs dying. There's not usually any need to do that, though. PCoB hits so often you can take small breaks to give your life flasks a chance to recharge from all the kills. If you have high density maps, or are doing Harbingers for example, your life flasks will just never empty.

You can also put "Chance to gain a flask charge when you deal a critical hit" on your life flasks to make certain, but it's honestly overkill and blocks the important "Increased Amount Recovered" mod, which gives us the big damage. Mind you, you've given me the idea to try this as I'm way overcapped on damage.

At endgame because our damage is so high now we are at poison cap even without life flasks, so it shouldn't be a problem doing normal content. It's on the Uber bosses that life flasks begin to matter.

Poison damage will feel a bit slow if you're used to hit builds, but you can take advantage of that by hitting and running as if things are already dead - which they will be in a few seconds. It can work in your favour as it allows you to load up damage when you can, and then move to avoid mechanics/attacks. You're no longer attacking but your poison is still doing work. It's a pretty cruisy playstyle once you get used to it.

There are nodes that increase the rate of poison damage - e.g. Dirty Techniques - but I've never really noticed much of a difference.

Awesome guide! I've successfully used it for the 3.27 league with slight/minimal variation with Pathfinder ascendancy.

Here's the PoB in case anyone is interested:

https://pobb.in/4xXaFlNtcD90

Still running for endgame gear (+2 socketed projectile gem Replica's Farrul Fur is still missing as well as +2% increased mana reservation efficiency light of meaning and unnatural instincts) but it works amazingly well as is and the total budget spent so far has been in the realm of totally doable 300 divine orbs.

300k EHP
40M+ DPS

Note: I personally preferred to move away of Vaal skills and to keep a couple nodes for life/mana leech; also to use a +#% elemental resistances implicit on the shield to be able to cap resistances without the usage of tattoos, and I also enabled the usage of Tempest Shield. That way I was able to reach 300k EHP without relying in perma flask (although perma flask is also enabled in this variation). The result is slightly less DPS (that is capped anyway) and a far cheaper end game build that is currently only missing the utmost rarest and more expensive unique variations.

Thanks @t0lkien I've been really enjoying this build (is a favorite now)!

Welcome, and you're welcome!

You're not the first person to suggest Tempest Shield, and it's an interesting choice. I may look at it again down the line. For this league I went with Deadeye and I think it's my favourite ascendency for the build now. I tend to trade all other things for movement speed where I can without gimping myself, and this league I've been flying.

I've found the league itself a little dull, but the build has been really soliid.

As always, wonderful build for pcoc you have here. It's been great following it for another league! Thanks for sticking with it each league for all of us pcoc players, we love having you to help us out.

Hi,

Great build you have here, very nice to play. Have question about auras and mana reservation. How do you cap your mana reservation for all 4 auras? Grace, Purity of Elements, Haste and Flesh and Stone? I have enlighten and tree built like in your pobb, but cant see solution for that.
Hey T0lkien - believe it or not I made this build in October 2022. I think I'm on page 3 or 4 of the guide ha ha ha. I've always popped in to see if it has survived the GGG nerf hammer and it appears so, which I'm stoked to see. I'd like to get back into playing the build again but not sure which way to go since I am in Standard only. If your face has not melted after reading this perhaps you could suggest what I should go with.

For reference here is my current PoB - I'm pretty sure it has remained untouched since 2022 but I'm hoping I can use at least some items and it won't bankrupt to bring it up to snuff. I have about a 250 div budget to play with if needed.

It was such a fun build just running and blasting away. Here hoping it can do so again. In the meantime I'll go read the front page :-)
