Unskipable Dialogue in Game/MMORPG's

so i recently started playing guild wars 2 again after finishing 40 challanges
and i didnt had the 2 most recent expansions, so i bought them and started the story of secrets of the obscure
and holy cow i had to wait like 1 hour in an instance until all of those clowns finished talking xDD

is a skip dialogue option a must have thing for you
or do you actually anjoy listening to tedious dialogue that you cant skip? :D

let me know^^

It's quite easy for me, regardless of the genre.
If you can't make a decent enough story to get me invested in and/or do not allow me to skip through it, then you can take your game and shove it up your ass.

If you want to see some unskippable bad ingame dialogues with very bad animations and voice acting, i can recommend Last Epoch.
Ice Deer dude vs fire bird fight. Voice acting & animations are top tier dog shit and as well in the last chapter the ultra long snake monologue that can't be skipped as well.
Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body."

Only usable with Ethanol Flasks

i m a fan of options.

if you dont let me skip dialogue/cutscenes i "minus points" but if your game is good enough i might just grit my teeth and push thru.

i would prefer being able to skip em.

and while we're at this topic

if you love in game cutscenes, try the secret world.

theres TONS you can do in that game even as a free player.

It depends. If it is for the first time and story got me interested id go with all of it, step by step, listening.

If i play again and /or story didnt get me i usually stop playing game. But in PoE i sometimes listen and someitimes skip.
speaking of POE.

once upon a time, i used to love spending my time listening to every single dialogue line. listening to the voice acting. taking my time to enjoy and absorb the lore.

that was back when i was new to POE and was a standard only player.

once i started playing temp league, i threw all of that out the window.

time is valuable. i have NO time to spare. i need to get to mapping ASAP. and once i m mapping i need to do more maps to gain more loot, and trade early. trading early gets me items at cheaper prices. mid league things get more expensive. late league some of the best items i want are no longer available as the players have already quit but remain listed.

so i end up only listening/reading the dialogue line when i m bored at work or when note playing poe, during lunch or whatever.

but even saying that, my interest in the lore really depends on the content.

so far the lore from the recent leagues that i actually was interested in is

elderslayers, shaper/elder, izaro, perandus, betrayal, sanctum, metamorph and thats about it.

tota had a lot of lore but i didnt like the league so my interest in it was little so i skipped it too.
