Hard crashing PC locks up

Nice to return this morning to continued silence from GGG both here and on X.

" Because he’s so unimportant to himself that he thinks that crying about our tears is actually worth his time. Or maybe he’s actually Gina from Customer Support and is tired of receiving e-mails. Either way, I pity someone who worries so much about what I think about this game. |

" Just so we're clear, PoE1 does not run without issues, it has this exact same crash, and has since at least ultimatum. It's just gotten worse with 24h2 and settlers specifically. It almost exclusively crashes for me when entering kingsmarch |

Actually crazy to not have had a single update on such a serious issue for this long. I was patient and decided to leave the game for the holiday period, I get that the devs are away. But we're over a week in to January and they can't even acknowledge they're working on a fix?
The game is quite literally unplayable. It's not some obscure in-game issue or bug that can be circumvented. It's not an occasional crash to desktop. It's a complete PC freeze, every single time I try to load past the character select. And it's only PoE2 that has this problem for me. |

" I didn't tried yet, was about to do it but saw many comments saying it's still on going.. i guess i'll wait few more hotfixes, or an actual patch for this.. It's just too much frustration + the risk to damage my hardware, i prefer not to take.. it's just not worth atm for the fun i get in exchange (wich is peak btw, mind how frustasting this is) Última edição por drx#8804 em 9 de jan. de 2025 10:50:28

Nulled.
I, for one, don't like pressing too many buttons. That doesn't make me unskilled, lazy, complacent or whatever other descriptor you are trying to pluck from your vocabulary. - Unknown philosopher, ca. 2025 Última edição por Celestriad#0304 em 4 de jun. de 2025 11:34:39

" This is not how customer protection laws work. If the customer launches the program, and it does not work as intended, then it is on the provider to prove otherwise. In UK and EU the court does not even look at it, they simply order refund and if it is contested by the seller, then that seller will have a really bad day because of an incredible fine flying their way. At least this is how it goes in UK and EU. In USA the only change is that the firm can fight back a little and can deny you further service. But that would be it. They would still lose. From industry standpoint, in everywhere in the world this would be the developer's problem to solve. Furthermore, I ask anyone who sees this message to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam. I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1. What to do: 1)Write a short review about the hard crashes in notepad. 2)Copy and paste it to steam reviews, put up a negative review. 3)Copy and paste it to steam discussions, put it up there. Temporary Solution:
Either use the Free Version of Process Lasso or write yourself your own script to run at startup that does the following: -> Limit the poe2.exe to X-1 of your logical cores by settings its cpu affinity. You can also manually do this in the taskmanager by rightclicking the exe in the details tab. ProcessLasse will be able to do this change permanently though, TaskManager cant do this. 1. In ProcessLasse just find the .exe while its running. 2. right click it 3. click cpu affinity -> Always -> Select CPU Affinity 4. Uncheck the first two cores (if you have less logical cores than threads which most systems do nowadays) The Game will still freeze but since it wont lock all threads Windows can still schedule Background Processes enabling you to fully controll your PC e.g. closing the Game.
