POE2 - Unable to Complete "Ascent to Power" in Cruel Difficulty
" " This is a quest to get Ascendancy points. You can do it later, or skip it and get points in the Trial of Chaos. The description of the quest is incorrect. You don't need to search Passage or kill Balbala. Known Issues " The quest barya drops from Balbala only before the first trial in act 2. You just need Djinn barya (random drop) with the correct number of trials and complete Sekhem's trial. If you can't open maps, first map must be opened in The Ziggurat Refuge (Past) in Act 6. |

+1 still the bug persists. So I guess I just need to find the right level drop of key + 60.

+1, but somehow I got the points on 10th or do completion. Stuck on this q and cant claim spirit bonus from next chapter.

I'm on PS5 and it still exists... Thought I was going insane, but I actually wasn't for once as I see many others have the exact same issue, lol. This needs to be fixed, I was just starting to really enjoy my Cruel run on my first character but now I don't even want to keep going.

I already have the fourth ascension and I'm level 67. The game won't let me start the atlas, it asks me to finish the campaign. Can you do something? This is taking away the fun of the game. |

I was losing my mind on this and I think I may have found the solution for myself at least. I ended up speed running the campaign (this was my 4th character), and skipped over this Sekhemas. So in my case the Trial was just not showing up at all. I had to go back to basic act 2, go into the traitors passage to defeat Balbala. That dropped me the quest item which unlocked Sekhamas.
Im still working on getting the cruel Sekhemas but hoping the kinks got worked out with this process. |

I'm unable to do the ascent to power quest in regular act 2, got my first 2 points in trial of chaos, i've killed balbala multiple times, killed the watchful twins for barya drops, went and killed balbala with the barya that drops from the twins, still nothing. No way to abandon a quest to restart it either so my character literally cannot do trial of sekhemas.

I'm having this same issue. I'm in endgame maps and can't find the trial of sekemahs. Both act2 and cruel act2 say ascent to power isn't complete. I have completed the area multiple times now and nothing is happening to finish the quest. I can't go do ascendency?
