I feel like it's definitely not my system, I've got an ethernet connection, I've run ping tests and speed tests, got 800Mbps/500Mbps and then running ping test, it's sits at around 26ms to google.com and then ping is fine in all other games.
My issue for this only started in the last few days and I'm connected to the Auckland servers where GGG is based |

" (Nvm see edit) This worked out for me, but I still get occasional lag spikes. It just lags for a second or two, then it's fine— no more freezing. I do have to wonder how that setting change will effect my other games... but I suppose I can just change it as needed. Thank you for a solution and I hope it gets patched for everyone who can't get a fix working. EDIT: It works better but I'm now experiencing the same network spike and freeze... I just want to play already 🙃 Última edição por DankCloudXV#0362 em 19 de fev de 2025 18:41:55

I also am getting very spikey latency recently. On the South African server and am playing on a laptop.
Looking back at my post history where I first mentioned it on a local forum, it first started on 11 December. Latency would be fine for about 5-10mins and then suddenly spike for about 2-3 seconds, then fine again. This would keep repeating over and over but because it was fine 99% of the time, I just paused the game for a few seconds when it spiked, then continued. In the last week the spikey latency is all random and happens more often however which is very frustrating and makes the game unplayable. |

I might have found the fix, Fix 1: First thing i did was unchecked the ipv6 in ethernet properties. Fix 2: I update my network drivers to the latest one, for me i had realtek ethernet driver and update it to latest. After doing those two things my ping is stable at 80 ms singapore server, i play from india. Tbh, i dont know which one of fix worked because i did both fix at a same time and tested it and it got fixed. I hope this work for you All the best. |

" Correct, a/b/g is the most outdated wifi mode. If your device supports it you should use ax (wifi 6) or the ac version (wifi 5), even the n version (wifi 4) is okay. Última edição por DenelDuck#5297 em 13 de fev de 2025 05:14:56

i would really try to get a wired connection for gaming. unless youre really stuck with a laptop while travelling i guess.
it's gotta be better nowadays but back in my days if someone in the building used the microwave everyone on wireless was getting disconnected lol Última edição por teksuoPOE#2987 em 13 de fev de 2025 05:57:52
