GGG seems to be disconnected from what the players actually want.

Is it me or is adding new content to a core game that has some terrible designs a bad idea? realistically what has changed since the first patch of early access?

I can only point to one change that seems to be really goood. And that is the density of towers in the world. Thats it.for me. There werent any other improvements.

This is my opinion but:

- the game doesnt need 100 new support gems at all. Thats not the problem of this game. This will only create more imbalance and issues. Well maybe in the future but not now. This shouldnt have been priority at all.

- Same with 100 new uniques.... so useless. 95 of them will be shit.

I might be the minority here but I think the game really needs:

1. AUCTION HOUSE. for so many obvious reasons.
2. COMBAT LOG. since the game is quite a lot of harder than poe 1. I would love to know what killed me. especially on bosses. seeing the numbers is fun and theorycrafting the hits is also fun.
3. BOSS IN EVERY MAP. noone wants to find the last rare that can spawn on the opposite corner of the map.
4. THE WAY TO ASCEND IN THIS GAME IS SO BORING AND PAINFUL. but they will probably never change it.
5. THEY DONT WANT US TO USE MOVEMENT SKILLS BUT THEY PUT TEMPORALIS IN THE GAME. temporalis is so broken that it destroys the economy. REMOVE TEMPORALIS FROM THE GAME.
6. THE SHOULD FOCUS MORE ON BALANCING THE BUILDS.

They shouldn’t focus on balance until between six and three months out from the game leaving Early Access. Which, hopefully, means they shouldn’t start worrying about balance for a while.

The worst thing about PoE 2 is its endgame, and how it forces you to run badly designed content over and over again. If they would add some player agency over what content (maps) to run - and specifically what maps to buff, I would probably be playing PoE 2. But until then, the whole game feels like a chore - and I actually got physically tormented every time I had to run Mire or one of the other 3874 bad layouts.

Balance? Classes? Ascendancies? Skills? Support Gems? Animations? Sound? Loot? All irrelevant, unless the layouts are fun to play - which they aren't.

The entire point of us playing early access is to test the game, that includes balance. Not focusing on balance until '6 to 3 months from release' is so laughably insane it makes me think you have to be joking.

but yeah there are many other issues to address.

for starters. balance. if the devs eventually release the game without balancing it, i would feel bad that maces feel bad and have worst clearspeed compared to the rest that i might feel less confident with ggg.

poe1 is a broken mess. the gap between skills and builds are huge. its not what i want

That's the main reason I don't care for anything they showed/said yesterday. I don't think I can do more of those atrocious layouts without going crazy. I logged back in a few days ago, did 2 maps and was already annoyed again. The core of the endgame (maps) just doesn't feel good to play imo. They said it's because there's not enough stuff in them, which might be true, but I don't know if that's enough to make me enjoy those layouts.

I'll probably check out the update at some point, just logging into my existing character and run a few maps, but I don't think I'll play the new "non-league".
Monster Hunters update drops at the same time, so that will keep me engaged much better I think.

Early access isn't the time to be balancing builds, it's the time to be adding hundreds of support gems and seeing how it plays out. Boring post from unimaginative person.
