Does anyone know if the hard CPU lockup issue has been fixed?

I haven't been playing PoE2 since January because of that bug.

I don't want the game to destroy my hardware.
I'm wondering the same thing about the hard PC crashes on loading screens from back at release a year ago. I see it was still happening to people as of July 2025 , and GGG has locked the old 500+ page thread at about the issue.
OMG, that's crazy. I see they really did close the thread. Meaning, they're ignoring the issue? Well, I'm not touching the game until I know it for sure.

yes they ignore issue,
first they said win24H2 prob and after its nvidia etc and very very few response

they add a log auto send lol, but when hard crash => no time to log lol
so useless
we sent already max of dxdiag and waiting 'a day' and playing other game

personnaly 0.1 was ok with poe uncrasher (its remove a virual cpu blabla to no avoir 100% cpu process)

GGG didn't make any options or -safemode arg
so we waiting :/
I had the same problem as OP: 4090, CTDs, mostly by switching instances. After several months and hours of hours of tweaking the nvidia app, the cpu and whatnot, here my possible solution:

Lower your VRAM-frequency. The 4090 operates at around 10500 Mhz and as far as I can tell, it has something to do with its memory and the poe2s shader.

I lowered it in two steps: First 250 Mhz and I had less crashes (only 2 per hour), now I'm operating it on 10000 Mhz (-500Mhz) and I'm good for almost five hours. Before that I had 5-10 crashes per hour.

Hope that helps some of you.
Crashing here too.

9800x3d
4080 GTX
32GB Ram
I have just started crashing too:

5800x
7900xtx
32GB ram

Same as everyone else.
