PoE2 randomly freezes and resets map exploration progress

Hello,

I'm encountering an intermittent issue in the game where it randomly freezes for a couple of seconds. After the freeze, a loading screen appears briefly, and then the game becomes playable again. However, I've noticed that my exploration progress is reset, and monsters are respawned-as if the instance had been reset.

Despite this, I'm still able to access previously unlocked checkpoints and fast-travel between them.

I haven't found a consistent pattern to reproduce this issue. It doesn't seem tied to alt-tabbing, going AFK, or any specific in-game action. I've already tried upgrading my GPU, but the issue persists. I also searched for open threads on this but couldn't find anything similar currently reported.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Same issue here. Setting sound effects to 0 in game seems to fix it but I would like to play with sound effects.

Same issue for me... frankly really struggling to continue, lost 2x corrupted nodes by dying this way ffs + the XP along with fully avoidable death.... there seems to be very little to NO acknowledgement I could find from GG on this, and reddit posts with this have been deleted by mods while my own is still after 2 days pending approval... WTF?!
Sometimes looking for trouble gets trouble to look for you.
I am also having this issue. The environment will still move in the background but my character will be frozen. Sometimes the game will continue after a brief freeze but other times I will be kicked out to the main menu. Especially frustrating when I was in the middle of a chaos run.
I'm facing exactly the same issues: Map progress resets after freeze of game with checkpoints still there.
Need to try if disabling soundeffects also solves the issue, I hardly doubt it.
