Omen of Homogenising Exaltation (Explaination/confirmation needed)

I just got a LIFE tag (life on enemy killed) when homogenizing+Perfect-ex the last suffix on a completely life-tag free Gemini bow.
... I did all the math (+-11% to hit the affix I intended)... And it returned LIFE gained on enemy kill (that has ONLY life as a tag)... It's almost an uninstall and wait for the next league rage quit moment. ... Now I'm just furious. Anyone had any similar issue? |

" My bet is the Omen had chosen modifier to take type tag from, but there was no match possible for this last suffix, so it went random instead. Does it make sense is your particular case? |

i need to vent a little, i have a breach ring with:
Prefix: Max Life Suffix: All elemental Resist & Fire Resistance what i'm aiming is: 1. adds fire damage 2. % increased fire damage both prefix so i use 1. Greater Exaltation (for 2mods) 2. Homogenising Exalt (for Same type mods as existing one) 3. Catalysing Exalt (to consume my 40% fire quality to add chance) 4. Sinistral Exalt (so exalt will only add prefix) so what did i get?? T3 Max Mana T3 xx to Evasion Rating..!!! WTF is wrong with this game???????????????????????????????????? Edit: to add insult to injury, i used Perfect exalt... Why to make all these omens?.... this is the question.
They could easily change this poorly designed system and replace all those omens with alteration orbs. Originally, PoE has alteration orbs to apply a good modifier to an item; it's practical and much cheaper, instead of spending a lot of time and currency to have a 99.9% failure rate all the time with those useless omens.And the problem here isn't just the failure. The problem is the price the player pays, in time and currency, to obtain absolutely nothing. A clear lack of creativity. It's fundamental to have a good base to make good crafting. In PoE 2, the crafting system is awful. You can even have a good base and even use the first essence, but then it becomes a nightmare. There's no practical way to reroll the item because the system is flawed. It's impossible to have all the good modifiers because most of them are useless, like light radius and item attribute requirements... until they understand that omens crafting system is garbge, and replacing all that with alteration orb and scouring orb, the player will keep paying a very high price, because of this poorly desinged, crazy, excessively expensive and random system Última edição por Kaiserblade42#2817 em 1 de nov. de 2025 07:48:07

" I explained this in other posts. This system is flawed and poorly designed. The chance of always rolling mana and evasion on the ring is 100%. This crafting system without an Alteration Orb will always be like this. The Pearl Ring is an item that shouldn't reroll with mana or evasion because it's a caster item. But it rerolls with mana, evasion, and even adds damage to attack, knowing that spells aren't attacks, in poe 2. I've tried billions of times to make a good crafting system, and I always hit a wall because of the randomness. And I followed all the steps using all those resources. The main flaw is randomness; the recombinator, even with Omens to increase the chances of creating new items, destroys it... Seriously... imagine you create TWO new bases, and then the developer comes along and destroys your base in the recombinator. Can you imagine that???. The only success these developers have is: they managed to create a crafting and reroll system WORSE than Diablo 3. My advice: Don't craft. The system is bad and flawed; your items will always reroll with mana and evasion, even if the item isn't an evasion character item. |
