The death of fun.

Today, I had a unique experience in POE2, sharing this cycle with you. It's certainly something new, but terrible.

I'm very close to completing 2000H POE2. During that time, I've never died in a citadel, but it seems the GGG staff haven't been able to shake off old habits. And the most worrying thing is that they don't really test the game. It's a very inconsequential cycle. the last nail in my poe2 coffen is 0.3.1.

Geonor Pale Moon is now killing the player with one hit. I was truly shocked; the devs aren't optimizing the game, and worse, they don't even test it. My character has 7000ES Infernalists with 900 health, wiped with one hit.

I've lost count of how many times on this forum I've seen people criticize these ridiculous (at least) one-hit kill mechanisms. You make patch notes, but then make other changes without announcing them.

Do you really expect people to keep playing this??

It doesn't end here. The game crashes like a fish, freezes frequently, and the loot is still very bad. For me, this new patch didn't change anything.


The monster damage is disproportionate, the toons are already weak and can't tank, because this passive tree is poorly designed. Based on chances and percentages, nothing there benefits defenses and survivability. Anyway... your passive tree is a failure. It has no mechanisms that optimize toughness, toon are paper. This game looks like Mario Bros.

The game just left the normal hospitalization stage and is in the ICU. You just apply more things that really don't make any difference. And worst of all, with each patch, this game gets worse. It's enough to make your hair stand out. This is the last time I'll post anything on this forum because I'm fed up. I'm tired, there's no way...

I'm done here. Enough with POE 2.

That's how "beta" works, and you're the product, not the consumer. So, if you can't handle failure, you might as well try a few finished games and then come back test this one again, maybe?

7000ES is very low for a citadel boss, you're just not gearing properly. It's very easy to 10K+ on SSF and 15k+ on trade league.

what mods were on the map? it can mean the difference between getting hit for 2k or 8k.

7k es is low on an ES build.



Means you are taking not many defensive nodes and/or not building them and going for something else.



I have 10k on my hybrid armour build. Ill be testing out this claim as I just beat him but I dont get hit by the attack, I usually dodge roll it if it ever gets close.



Helps to know the mods/tablets/tree though so its hard to say what is actually happening when people just post what happened with no video or screenshot of the mods in play.



The other person that posted also did not show us anything but a build, which really does not help know if its overtuned as a boss or not.


Leaving out this much information is not really helping anyone figure out if its overtuned or not.

Yup bosses damage and visual clarity is poo poo in this game. That’s why people want to kill the boss as fast as possible so they can’t rev up their bullshit mechanic, I wish bosses in this game has a skill bar like the stun bar that indicates they are going to do a special atk, just like bosses in Titan quest 2

yeah the red flash they do requires you to memorize their attack animation- sometimes the attack is fast, sometimes its like 3-5s after the flash. then you have to know what you have to do, do i run or hug the boss now? oh damn i forgot the sequence of his attacks RIP. XD

This is the same reason I quit season 1, died to 1 shot invisible corpse explosions on my ice strike monk. I was so close to quitting the season today... 10 hours of exp lost in the first 2 deaths of level 98 because I decided to do 30-40 citadels I had. For all the people saying the pale moon mechanic is easily avoidable, try doing it with 30-40% cast speed modifier, as soon as you identify it... it's landing on you. This wasn't a 1 shot mechanic in campaign. At the time I had 6,800 life & 8,000 ES. I've lost count of how much divine I have invested in my character, easily over 600+. Two runs, hit & insta death to pale moon requiem both times. The second death I checked the modifiers, no minus resistance or damage piercing resistance, only % cast speed. I was doing it with envy distilled waystone, so 65% delirium... hundreds of hours and different bosses and the only thing that has 1 shot me is the arbiter.
if they dont fix this patch im done with this game. Feel scammed
