The death of fun.

I don't think fun has any strict relation to being highly successful solo unless of course the game is strictly solo...which its not because even if you play "solo" you have the incredible buff of buying rng from players via merchant (and if you play SSF I don't care, that's a unique challenge and you should take it on the chin).

I find this game a little bit confused but its early days ("Early Access").
The creator's want skill synergy and dodge roll to matter...but you can get 100k+/mill on 1 skill and there's so much easy player crowd control in the game that it totally skews the player and enemy contact relationship.
It makes sense to party for gameplay/safety simplicity but there's not much if any beauty to it as you just generally spam your most powerful setup as per solo usual Vs what is just a huge band aid of just increasing monster hp to the high heavens which provides them with so much stun/ailment threshold that it completely biases player power toward glass cannon with no real specializations.

I still think this game has plenty of fun and challenge but to say words like "scammed" and "death" is just emotional fluff.
I think this game would be a near, if not a 10/10 if the traditional top down arpg blow up everything on the screen gameplay would only be for some cheesy gear/currency farming Vs more involved content, strategic gameplay and player building.

Yeah this is part of the beta/EA, just do your feedback and move on.

But it is true, damage is very high in general, campaign damage taken is nothing in comparison to endgame...endgame is pretty much kill or be killed and a lot of stuff 1 shot, if not 1 shot...it does 75% of your HP pool and it's probably because of deflection. Chip damage doesn't exist in the endgame.

7k es is low on an ES build.

Means you are taking not many defensive nodes and/or not building them and going for something else.

I have 10k on my hybrid armour build. Ill be testing out this claim as I just beat him but I dont get hit by the attack, I usually dodge roll it if it ever gets close.

Helps to know the mods/tablets/tree though so its hard to say what is actually happening when people just post what happened with no video or screenshot of the mods in play.

The other person that posted also did not show us anything but a build, which really does not help know if its overtuned as a boss or not.

Leaving out this much information is not really helping anyone figure out if its overtuned or not.

i got this notification on mobile, i thought twicw to reply.

no my man, i can kill any thing with Zero death with 7k ES. playing infernalist minions, only my strom mages (10 mages) are doig 150k dmg each one. i always played with infernalist as main char, i have a level 97 non league, and a 95 in league, i played this game alot, i can garant u, my level 97 in all time playing died 19 times, and theses dethes are to (learn). this time playing on non league with 8k ES... with no problem, 7k inleague is not a problem. they change many deatails in game with no warning.

the truth is that game is not Being optimized, to put it simply, is like someone preparing food and serving it cold, unsalted, and on a dirty plate.

They're pushing content without optimizing or testing it. I can't play this anymore... this game is slow, unrewarding, and poorly made.

I'm sorry to say this, but it's the truth.

I know you posted on my "Iron Citadel - Geonor Pale Moon Requiem 1 shot" post

https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3864711

This is the same reason I quit season 1, died to 1 shot invisible corpse explosions on my ice strike monk. I was so close to quitting the season today... 10 hours of exp lost in the first 2 deaths of level 98 because I decided to do 30-40 citadels I had. For all the people saying the pale moon mechanic is easily avoidable, try doing it with 30-40% cast speed modifier, as soon as you identify it... it's landing on you. This wasn't a 1 shot mechanic in campaign. At the time I had 6,800 life & 8,000 ES. I've lost count of how much divine I have invested in my character, easily over 600+. Two runs, hit & insta death to pale moon requiem both times. The second death I checked the modifiers, no minus resistance or damage piercing resistance, only % cast speed. I was doing it with envy distilled waystone, so 65% delirium... hundreds of hours and different bosses and the only thing that has 1 shot me is the arbiter.

you are after my own heart.

peace.
I just don't understand why the 1shot mechanics. Why are we making this a souls game?

Half of them are poorly telegraphed and the other half you need to work hard to get hit by. I still can't figure out where bahlak will send swipes after landing, or where he'll land. Silverback has 2 almost identical telegraphs. 1 will instakill you at a distance and the other is a sleep check for melee.

Yea so this skill must be hitting you guys from some map mod or some build choice that you arent sharing. It just doesnt deal that much damage.

Empowered boss frag was used.

Here is my char page

The mods

And the hit before and after
Before:

10927 ES

After:

6702 ES

Hit damage = 4235
