How to save POE2

saving really depends on what poe2 is supposed to be.

personally i feel that saving poe2 in the way ggg intended is not what the majority playerbase wants.

which is to make it slower and more deliberate.

It had millions of players in pre-sale that are now lost?

Looking at steam charts, the day of release had about as many players as the day of the start of this league. Did those millions of players never start the game at all?

Anyhow.. I would kinda agree that trade is too stronk. While SSF is so slow to gear up in that especially if you play on HC, it takes forever to get a character running, like I don't have that kind of playing hours even available to me.

That being said, you don't really need to specifically grind for currency to make a good build. You'd need to if you wanted to make a top build. But a lot of builds come online strong with like 2 divs worth of current, which you might have just from the campaign alone.

For the campaign, you don't need anything that costs more than a couple of ex.

1 million players came because it was advertised heavily so you had alot of ordinary gamers trying out an ARPG for the first time. It is not possible to maintain the interest of so many average gamers season after season, they will have moved on to the next AAA title or whatever it is they are normally interested in.

The gameplay they promised, and advertised disappeared quickly.

It took just months to throw every promise out the window the second they added any after-campaign content, and just remade PoE1. Zero visual clarity, screen clearing, zoom zoom, looting simulator.

Just a guess, but might have a little to do with it...
Funnily enough, the game was at its lowest when it was at its slowest
its their own fault.

When you create mobs that one shot you there is only one solution.
Kill the screen.

And the game is full of it.
Souleater = kill everything in one hit including it.
Abyss mobs = kill everything.
In fact everything is the game is fixed by , kill the screen.

There are only so many good classes cause they are the only ones who ...
you guessed kill the screen

Temporal chains = kill the screen
Got to maintain map sustain = kill the screen.
Trial of Sechimas kill the screen.
No defense = kill the screen.
Being bodied into corners = kill the screen.

I have no idea what deliberate combat you are talking about.
The bosses are one shot hit point bags proudly displaying the same .. i turn red skill ... after long immunity dialogues(campaign).

The floor is covered in moving slimes that will not stop chasing you unitil you let them explode.

Purple flowers spawning heat seeking misiles at you, does it sound like you are meant to have a slow deliberate fight... hell no , you can't stop moving!!!
The whole combat system is ... stop the player from moving and kill em ...
stun lock em , slow em , tempral chains the map body block them into a corner ... KILL THE SCREEN !!

Its a marketing tag man !!!
Zoooooooooooom ftw

So, you don't want GGG to increase the drop rates of high-tier affixes at the same time? The reason being that it's not good for the economy, especially not good for the gang's financial chart? Although this clearly benefits you. I'm not Saint Jesus; I want the game to serve me, not the merchants.

I don't think the average guy just trying it out had even played POE1 before though... it's only the ARPG fans that are saying these things
I still don't understand who the millions of players were.

There was 460k players online on December 6th, the day of release. The all time peak is 580k.

There was 350k players on August 25th, the day of start for the current league.

How does one conclude that there must have been millions of players more at the launch who then quit soon after, especially ones who quit because currency is too hard to get or such?

Also, to compare: Last Epoch had 250k players at launch, and 71k at the next major update.

TQ2 had 27k at launch, and 3k at the next chapter update.

D4 is hard to compare, since many players bought it directly from Blizzard.

Looking at the charts and the median playing times, to me, it seems that PoE2 has significantly better player retention than the vast majority of games.
