I owe PoE1 players an apology

PoE1 players often made an impression on me as these obnoxious players that just want to play their dinosaur old game and don't want to accept newer and better things.

I had no idea what the hell i was talking about. I decided to play PoE1 now and got to endgame now, got 2 90+ lvl characters and one of those (slayer ofc) is shredding everything. I can't stop. There is so much things to do. I really can't wait when PoE2 will have more complexity because even 30% of PoE1 depth transfered to this game will make it insanely good.

I understand now why you think campaign is not a real game and endgame is. In PoE1 campaign is just dragged out tutorial. Its not the case with PoE2 but its not going to become worse, its going to become better. The campaign will be enjoyable and endgame will be massive.

In PoE2 you do some maps, kill some "pinnacles" (they are joke in 0.3) and just do maps. Even Abyss has nothing compared to some things i got into in PoE1. Delve? Incursions? Kingsmarch? We need THAT kind of endgame. Abyss crafring was good though.

What do you expect 0.4 to bring to the table to make you stay for longer times? Will one mechanic be enough or do you wish they add several updated mechanics from PoE1? As much as i want to see swords and axes i dont think they can carry endgame boredom.

Just today i found my favorite endgame mechanics for now. I don't do this "divines per hour" shit. For me, 5-10 or 20 divines per DAY is very very good. And fun is more important. I do mostly Rituals on the map, and i also just figured out how to do incursions with Alva. After that i collect gold to do my Sim City Kingsmarch mechanics. It just makes the game so much bigger. I do a map but there are maps inside maps and side content that is like a minigame in itself.

And yeah, im sorry guys. You were right about many things.

poe2 is the better game and it's the future.

poe1 is so bad that no amount of software engineering and programming can save it and make it into a better game.

poe1 is currently in its twilight years and accelerating towards its inevitable funeral and coffin. this is what it is. it is like this.

Welcome to our ranks.
Poe 2 will have its own distinct endgames, or at least I hope so. I don't want a complete copy of Poe 1. I'm the opposite of you; I lasted less than 200 hours in the new Poe league, and I'm bored with the constant loot. I completed the entire Atlas in two days and then geared up so much in the following days that I could easily clear all the content until I got bored very quickly. I don't want that kind of rush in Poe 2. I prefer each game to maintain its own style.

The only reason we do not complete atlas in 2 days in POE2 is because we cannot force a nexus spawn.

But we do the same amount of maps, and if not for 2, we do it for 4 days.

What is the difference here?

(And do not tell me "its twice as long" because it is 2 extra days)

While i haven't played POE1 in a long time, i was there from it's closed beta and for years after and as such, i accept your apology :p

All kidding aside though, even when disregarding the content, there are indeed a lot of things that were and still are better implemented in POE 1 than they are in POE 2. And there's no good reason for it despite the clear desire to let both games have their own identity and feel. It's unsurprising. GGG just adds itself to a long list of companies that screw up well-tuned mechanics in the name of "innovation". It doesn't make the game bad, just not as good as it could have been

yea !!!.

iam a poe1 player for years, got 2 mirrors. and had alot of fun.

iam a poe2 player too... i played poe2 4000 hours, i made 97, 96 this league, and i keep droping level 1 itens, in maps with ++120 rarity. my game crashes and freezes like hell all this league.

and, i have a real bad feeling about this new patch, i learned already how the "new" is in poe2.

yea... poe1 is a master piece.

"i don't like printing divines, i'll instead print divines with this offline-afk mechanic"

POE2 just isn't it and it's sad that POE1 has been hindered because of it.
