I’m playing on Asus Xbox ROG Ally X (Z2 Extreme), Windows, UMA VRAM set to 8 GB (24 GB system RAM total).
The issue occurs ONLY on DX12 and happens even with Medium texture quality. • DX12: in-game performance overlay shows a hard VRAM cap at ~2.5–3.0 GB. Once this limit is reached, textures and models disappear permanently. • Vulkan: VRAM usage increases normally to ~3.5–4.5 GB and textures do not disappear. Tested: • UMA VRAM: 6 GB / 8 GB • Texture quality: Medium • AFMF ON/OFF • Launch flags: --waitforpreload, --gc 2, --noasyncshadercompile The problem is 100% reproducible on DX12 and does not occur on Vulkan, which strongly suggests a DX12-specific UMA VRAM budget detection / memory allocator issue introduced in patch 0.4. This is a different issue than low-VRAM GPUs (e.g. RTX 3050 4 GB). On those cards the problem is a real VRAM limit, while in my case the issue appears to be a DX12-specific UMA VRAM budget misdetection, as Vulkan works correctly. Same here. I dont know why but my textures is gone so many times and i was tried every single thing came to my mind and nothing change it.
