Game crash 0xc0000005

I have the same issues and crash report. Playing as Werewolf too. It happens mostly in fights.

The same is happening to me, although my game is crashing sometimes in less than 30 seconds. I'm not a druid, but playing with one in a group

Tried rerolling this morning to another class due to getting the constant crashes as a wolf druid...
This time I didnt have crashes every 30mins, thought finaly, yey, but after a few hours, as I was shooting essence drains into act 1 final wolf boss - crashed again, same error...
So atleast it doesnt seam to be wolf exclusive, but more common I guess...

I swapped to wyvern form, played for entire evening and only had 1 crash - when opened a strongbox. Wolf problem for sure

0xc0000005 is an error i've dealt with in the past, with a totally different set of causes, but basically what it means is the program is attempting to access memory that is outside of it's current predefined acceptable range or limit.

I, too am crashing, which is what lead me here, but it's slightly different

Googled nvami.inf~~

Came across others crashing other applications with this faulting module and quite a few people saying installing intel xtu (extreme tuning utility) and lowering cpu performance core down 50x solved the issue for them. I'm going to attempt that, will report back. Dunno what to tell AMD cpu users, or if the fact that it is happening to both renders this a null solution but regardless, I've tried literally everything else I can think of so i'm going to give it a shot.

EDIT: This seems to have fixed the problem for me, I was crashing every time I opened a menu, navigated my inventory or passive tree, or changed instances. This was every time I loaded into the game and tried to do any of those things. I have been playing for 15 minutes now, and tried navigating menus aggressively, exiting to character select, and I'm now able to play the game as normal. Will report back if I start crashing again.

NOTE: this does not mean it will fix the problem for you, and if it doesn't, I'm terribly sorry. The reason why I am here again is to give others with similar hardware as me a potential course of action to help them. Oh, btw, my hardware is intel 14900hx, 4080m, 32gb ram, ROG strix g18 2024 (g834jzr). Installing intel xtu was a breeze and it seems like a handy program that I will continue to use in the future if needed. I had to disable vbs on my system but it was super easy to do with a simple command prompt command and reboot, a google will help you there. Or you can PM me, and I will provide you with that information if you need it.

Confirmation this fixed the crashing issue i was having with the game 100% for certain, i have been playing the game all night and I made it to maps and not a single crash, not even one. If you are using 13,14th gen intel chips and experiencing crashing with this version of the game, I implore you to atleast try to install intel XTU and reduce your performance core ratio to 50x. mine was 52x initially, not a huge difference you would think, but enough to completely 100% stop the crashing for me. Crashing since release, playing werewolf druid. Freeze=>Crash to desktop or Freeze=>Spinning Wheels=>Game resumes.

Event log: 0xc0000005 for PathOfExileSteam.exe

Specs: Ryzen 9 9950x3d, RTX 5080, 96gb RAM, newest nvidia drivers/windows11 updates.

Tried almost everything to resolve this issue (everything that is being suggested in case of same error code in other games), including testing hardware in many ways, nothing helps. Crash happens from few minutes since logging in up to few hours.

While checking Client.log in poe2 folder I found some suspicious events that could be related to the issue, every event like this occurs multiple times over the log:

It seems to be an error directly related to werewolf form.

There's also few others unrelated to werewolf form, mainly related to vaal monster bones (I won't link every bone, but it happens for multiple of them):
