We'd love to port Path of Exile to the Mac, but we're planning to investigate this after release of the game for Windows. We'll make an announcement as soon as it is confirmed. The game works perfectly in Windows under Boot Camp on a Mac.

wow, sorry for bringing up literally the last thread, but but good news to hear it runs well on bootcamp. I'd be curious to know what year/model mac you're using for this?
If I'm invited to CB, I'll be using the 2011 Macbook Pro with Windows 7 on Bootcamp. Cheers I love lamp

" Heh, I literally just replied about Bootcamp in another thread a few minutes ago before I saw this. I'm using an early 2009 unibody 17" macbook pro with whatever version of Mac OS came with it (two major versions old now? I have no idea, I don't ever boot into it). It runs Windows 7 and PoE perfectly. |

I want to buy a mac now... I feel dirty, do I still have to buy the windows disc at the cost of a NEW PS3? I mean WTF right? That with the cost of the mac... I am better off (financially) using my POS Compaq... with HP "support" lol if you could call it that...
I love virtual brutality so save it for the Mobs...

Your only chance is to install Windows using Bootcamp or to try using some emulator software (Like Wine)
I do the same, I really hope they port the game to OS X. |

Only a week old, hopefully not too much a case of necromancy at the moment, but I figure this is as good a place as any.
As the Public Weekend is coming up I've downloaded the client and have tried installing from the MSI on a mac via wine, as well as attempting to use a wrapper (eg wineskin, cx). No dice there, so I'm installing on a VM and that seems to be working so far (downloading the client files at a rather impressive rate though, thankfully). However I was wondering if anyone else here has succeeded in running the client through wine on a mac? Feels a bit excessive running a VM to play, so transferring it to a wine wrapper would be preferable. But it would be nice to know if anyone has had any success using them with PoE, so if it borks for me at least I can keep trying if other people have had success. ive tried on cross-over games with no luck, the only luck ive had is with vmware
