Having only one character at 50 level Iam wandering why ARC is superrior over VAAL ARC, or if I should switch it if that one luckily drops. Can you explain please?

Vaal Arc is a skill gem which includes both Arc and Vaal Arc, the Vaal version you have to kill mobs to use and is more powerful.

Well Vaal Arc gem is superior to normal Arc gem-if they are both same level/quality, as Vaal Arc gem give you both Arc and Vaal Arc skill.
Arc skill will be your bread and butter skill, while Vaal Arc is situational and needs to be charged by killing mobs (very satisfying in Blight/Legion encounters)
BUT
Getting Vaal arc gem with level 21 and quality 23 is more difficult and/or expensive compared to normal Arc gem 21/23 (e.g. in standard league it is 3ex vs 2ex, in runnning leagues the difference is usually bigger). The potentially best is Anomalous Arc, but that one is running in standard for 8 ex for 20/20 which is worse than normal Arc 21/23.
So all in all, you should aim for 21/0>21/20>21/23>21/23 Vaal>21/20 Anomalous>21/23 Anomalous
TLDR: Vaal arc gem is better, but vaal effect is more situational, so not an necessary update.

Isn't chance to shock completely worthless, meaning quality is irrelevant unless it is anomalous? Also with Vaal arc (if you have 21 lvl ofc) it is easier to reach lvl 26 in the endgame as you can get + vaal skills on corrupted chest.
My questions are how is EO vs Crit looking right now and if it is worth going for lvl 26 arc? (empower in links mostly). In endgame of the endgame it is actually possible to get lvl 31 with the new SoJ neck xD

Brotherhood ring gives ur 40% of our lightning dmg as cold, and trinity turns it back into lightning and it gives us alot of dps
