Which ability scales best with cast speed and spell echo?
Somewhat torn between Spark and Storm Call at the moment, but while my tree's flexible to change I'd love to know your opinions.

Cast speed and Spell Echo are pretty generally useful things for any non-trigger Spell build for increasing dps. I can't really think of any spells that synergize particularly well with faster casting, except perhaps Flameblast and Incinerate.
Incinerate deals more damage per "stage." There are 4 stages, and you increase a stage by casting 4 times, so the sooner you can cast 16 times, the sooner you are dealing max damage. Flameblast uses a similar "stage" system, although there are 10 stages and apparently as of 2.0.0 Flameblast no longer works with Spell Echo. Need game info? Every spell, that can use echo scales great with it.
There is never a question of scaling, when u use echo, but in other usefulness. For example with lighting tendrils u just dont want to be rooted for so long. |

The spell that scales best with cast speed is Incinerate, hands down.
Every other spell just scales strongly with cast speed. |

Besides the obvious Incinerate, probably any spell that scales damage harder and has few good supports, like Arc, EK or Ball Lightning.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

The reason I ask is because of Spell echo and innate damage effectiveness of skills, some skills might overtake something like Incinerate because of their increased reliability or higher damage effectiveness.

" Xcode mentioned storm spells and Ball lightning because they overlap so using them is effectively very similar to incinerate, you have a warmup time so higher cast speed helps you reach max dps value quicker. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.
