Why?

Who cares if you can level fast once you have expensive gear and are willing to spend a lot of currency.

It does not take much money to make a strand deletion build. Not nearly as much as a build that can actually do end game content like t15/t16.

I feel like people are way overreacting to people leveling insanely fast in Legacy. People are taking fully geared characters with hundreds of exalts worth of gear, rolling all of their maps and shaping/sextanting their Atlas on other accounts, using a necro support, and chaining Shores with double beyond to absolutely minmax the everliving shit out of XP/hour logged into the account.

So they can post a screenshot with level 100 in 20 hours or whatever. It's still impressive, but it doesn't indicate anything that's fundamentally broken with the game when they are abusing every mechanic possible to achieve it. Simply removing Beyond leaguestones from the game will make leveling substantially slower; which will happen naturally once Legacy league is over.

While in theory true in reality false.

Let me ask you this:
Where are all those less than 2 days to 100 accounts with cheap "strand deletion gear".

The point is the comparison between strand farming and other methods of leveling. The former is vastly cheaper and more efficient.

Alright buddy.

It's on Legacy. You can see he's using Legacy Vinktars. Also checked the ladders and holy crap there's over 550 level 100s in Legacy, this is ridiculous.
Out of how many players who reached Merciless?

It is not the issue that this is happening, as we all know it is. The issue is the evidence that portions of the game (endgame) are being designed around this uber min-max. Around something that most of us not only will never achieve, but have no desire to achieve. And yet we love this game nevertheless.

At least someone in this thread has a clue.

What is designed around this? Where is this evidence?

Ahem.
Spoiler

Diablo 3

EDIT for those of you lucky people that haven't touched D3, that screenshot shows a newly created character in the latest (at that time) season/league, reaching (almost) max level (70) in 10 minutes.

Keep in mind that this can be done in much less (around 3 minutes) and is only doable because lower level characters can join a high level map and get boosted by other players.

PoE Successor to D3? thankfully not.
