[3.10] Stone Golem Golemancer Build -DELIRIUM-BALANCED- ALL CONTENT -Everything Dies-Huge Damage
I've been annoyed with how CIP plays while mapping. The need to keep flesh offering up along with convocation and desecrate slows clearspeed down and causes more deaths.
But... I've found a simple solution that doesn't sacrifice much DPS (which doesn't matter for mapping) and greatly improves clear speed and quality of life (similar to but faster than the build outlined by OP). The setup: Necromantic Aegis notable Phase run Everything else can be the same as the CIP build (most important being sand and stone + pride). How to play: Put phase run on move button, and assign flame dash to whatever you want. Next, simply run around and flame dash around packs. Pop a quicksilver flask + steelskin or MS/VMS if you like. How this works is that simply moving will cast phase run, which triggers desecrate, flesh offering, and convocation. Flame dash also triggers those spells. So, by simply using your movement skills, you trigger the 3 skills necessary to keep your flesh offering up and keep your minions close. Mix in a storm brand or SS/MS/VMS here and there as necessary. You and your minions move and kill so fast that things don't have a chance to hit you. Faster clear and better better survival through movement. And then when desired, simply swap in the 2xCIP for more boss damage (not even close to necessary for mapping or conquerors). The difference in DPS is about 250k (1.75M vs 2M). " Cool idea, I like it! Always appreciate people who know these mechanics and interactions better than I do who come up with smart ideas. As someone who's only played the CIP build, I assume without the CIP physical gem level bonuses, your DPS is better using more different golem types like ice and lightning? Do you use flame golem as well, or just ice, lighthing and chaos with 6 stones? Am I correct in thinking the price of those wands has come down since earlier in the league? That was my main reason for using the CIP build in the first place. |
|
" Most damage is actually 5 different golems, regardless of setup (CIP or not). That said, 6 stone + 1 each of chaos, lightning and carrion is more ideal for clearing. Going down to 5 stone golems starts to hamper their ability to blow up packs quickly as there's not enough of them to go around. Golems other than stone can be ignored as they are not in a 6 link. In short, you should use 6 stones + 3 other different types even if you're using CIP. |
|
" Curious as to why you'd use Carrion Golem, when it's bonus is 100% ineffective on other Golems (the bonus damage is specific to non-Golem minions). The extra 1000 or so health seems pretty inconsequential, and as it would not be part of any multi-link setup, it's damage would be pretty negligible as well, by comparison to the Stone Golems. " Except for chaos golem, anything outside of the 6L is mostly inconsequential. That said, carrion golem's leap slam is a big AOE that deals quite a bit of damage and is very fast. So, the carrion augments your stone golems by cleaning up. |

this seems pretty great. tobad Voices are hyper expensive the better they are. also this: what sort of lvling skills do YOU recommend and what area to take first on lvling?

" As it really becomes a "whatever you want" situation, and this was my 3rd character this league, I just grabbed something I wanted to try (Kinetic Bolt in my case), slapped it in a Tabula Rasa, and went about my business. Was pretty easy until 34, and then, with currency from my prior characters (as well as a Primordial Harmony, Clayshaper, and Victario's Charity already in storage), I bought a few more jewels, the necklace, and proceeded to laugh through the rest of the campaign. And I followed the actual expected guide of nodes, so no regrets/respec points were used. Never had issues with survival. I hit 34 before the end of Act 3, so it was real curb-stompy from there on. |

is awakened multistrike realy worth it?
I mean it costs 45 ex for +5% total dps (according to the pob). Or there is some hidden mechanics that AMS can provide? |

" megalomaniac combo with this mods Chilling Presence Dark Discourse++ + aspect of spider and temporal chains on hit very good defense boost even more tankier) |

So, I hopped to this build a couple weeks back, and have been having a blast with it. I had a few keys pieces from a couple other characters, and wasn't too hard to invest what meager currency I had to fill out the rest as I went.
Here sits my current PoB: https://pastebin.com/Y4ZBQe4e Current problems I am facing is really survival (one-shots do happen more than I'd like), and I am starting to notice damage is coming up a bit shorter than I'd like. I presently run the 6 Stone/1 Chaos/1 Ice/1 Lightning setup. I am working on getting quality gems leveled up to then corrupt for the hopes of +Level, Awakened Gems are not in my budget at all (basically will be down to what I find more than anything). The wand I know is not ideal, but was the best I managed to craft (buying was too expensive), and I am still working to try and get that 6th Link on my chest piece, which will let me link in a Ruthless I already have leveled up. Content I have cleared: Awakener 4 Sirus Wave 20 Simulacrum (Not deathless) T13 Blighted Map Some T14-15 Maps Any suggestions will be most appreciated.
