No time to deal with server issues. There are too many "cosmetic micro transactions" (aka. money-generators) to be created in each patch.
I definitely understand your point.. I would probably feel it the same. That's also the reason why I play softcore mainly. Server and performance issues of PoE => I am not going to waste time in HC.
thats super unfair actually. They add new items/skills and working harder than any devs in any game i ve ever played and its still free and beta.I can understand the frustration of death on desyncks or loading screens but saying they re like indifferent goldiggers is an insult to all the true goldigger devs.
"super unfair"? maybe. I just see different priorities. We are still complaining about server and visual performance issues and they are somewhere at the top of priority list for me (I believe I am not alone here). I really don't care about new glow for my armor/weapon, yet we keep getting them each patch, but the server&GFX issues are still same (if not worse).
What do I expect? I would expect that devs are so busy fixing this that they don't have a time to keep producing new cosmetic microtransactions.
That's just my point of view... I understand that devs want (need) to make money (everybody does). But by pushing it, they are slowly alienating all the ppl that had high expectations.
So ye, i die to a loading screen in this one week first at lvl 34.
I then spend all my time climbing bak up the ladder and as i hit top 100 - lvl 66
i zone to city of sarn and nothings happening so i log out, log back in and i'm dead.
This is a server issue as it has been happening in certain zones, especially in town areas.
I put all my efforts in = many many hours to achieve a good position but ur servers took my character once again.
i have had massive amounts of patience as this happened in the same zone last 1 week race and each time i am doing really well.
So as u can imagine i give up, i cannot achieve anything in this game as the servers are just too bad.
What makes me most angry is that i have put money into ur company, easily as much as i payed for diablo 3 and u still have failed to do anything with ur servers.
I feel u have had ample time now to do this now with a steady income from all the sales since Open Beta.
I am massively dissapointed as well very sad, i thought u people at GGG would offer me more than that of most other money grabbing companies but it appears i had it all wrong.
I wish u well in the future and hope u sort these problems soon as u are losing players, slowly yes but i feel this will only grow as people can only take so much.
I now have zero reward for putting in massive amounts of effort and ofcourse the worst part - i could do nothing about it AGAIN.
So this is goodbye and thx for the fun i have had at times.

You do realize that they have different teams working on the money generating MT and the server / GFX issues. This is like a fast food restaurant where you see the floors need cleaning and send anyone to go do it. You cannot take the art team and go say fix the desync issues.
Chris has started in many posts that they are working on the issues and separate teams as making new content. They will get it done when it gets done. These are not easy issues to fix either.
Also side note: More money = more employees = faster fixes and more content
and those loading screen deaths are not because of the servers, its just because of the bad HDD you may use, im using a shitty aswell, my other specs are really good but i have loading screens of 1-2minutes.
so the only thing you can do against that is actually buying a new HDD or change it with a SSD :D

I have an SSD, but I don't think it's fair/correct to make it as a part of Hardware Requirements.

Dude, this is not server-side problem. Root of this problem is client-side system requirements. For example: I have PC (3 years old, 2gb ram) and laptop (bought in 2012, 8gb ram) and here is a huge difference. At old PC i have very long loading time of instances (especially 3 act), and had a lot of desync's, low fps, and also some HC death while my PC was loading instances (regular entrance and TP). But at my laptop everything loads very fast, desyncs are rare, even if i'm in party with 6 players and there is too much spell's FX and a lot of minions and pets.
But of course, there is some solution for low-ram pc's - char shall be invulnerable when entering instance not for some second - but until he makes any move/action (or just make char unactive until player click pop-uped button "i'm ready" (like "ressurect" button). And this button can be made optional in client's option menu.
