With our Aegis Aurora all high density-poe-mechanics like Breaches heals us infinitive nonstop in battle 1k-5k es on block. 75% block and spellblock are easy stacked (fullblock on tree and clusters or with keystone Glancing blows).

The huge 2-screen-wide projectile-range of HoA is fitting to stabilize fast the boss-breaches.


Our cyclone-movement-mainskill fits perfect for uninterrupted 100% damage-uptime in breach-runs with perfect quality of life of smooth 1-button movement+damage united.

When the hives swarm you from all directions, use:

HoA - pierce - returning projectiles

to cover better the whole screen with scorpion-projectiles also in the crawler's backside.

Almost each league I farmed juiced breaches and did breach-stones-runs for the high exp.
It's a one of the most fun-mechanics. Also full juiced in the Allstars's-gear it was always trivial easy because we have evasion, attackblock, es and life on hit and on block, ghost dance, flat dr and more layers of defences and recovery. So I hope breaches will turn more challenging and more rewarding joy.

Awakened fork multiplies HoA's basic 5 projectiles x7 to oneshoot 35 targets. B.i.s. in open designed maps, breaches and for harbingers.
Can be further linked with awakened gmp/pierce/chain/returning to up to 70->110->180->360 projectiles, 4x to 7x times each second oneshotting the Breach.

Returning Projectiles combinated with pierce covers 2 screens also in the HoA's backside in breaches, ravaged blights, delve and 5-ways or is combinated with Sniper's Mark to hit bosses twice after piercing or splitting.

Some AoE can be easy plugged in with Animate Guardian's Asenaths Gentle Touch or as Occu or as Necro with forbidden flame and flesh Profane Bloom.


Chayula | CI

We have stacked already nice 180% increased energyshield, so the Allstars activate with 1 passive 100% chaos-immunity CI again (as by default from [3.13] to [3.24]) against Chayula (teasered purple in the Keeper of Flames 3.27-logo).

Staying Hybrid Life+Es, when new Secrets- / Breaches-Ubers are introduced, is full perfect too with our 95 % flat dr, 75% capped chaos-resis and our Arakaali-pantheon.

Chayula was always already early trivial because we evade and block his harmless skills.

Our old key-unique bodyarmour Skin of the Lords / Skin of the Loyals drops by flawless Chayula's, so it will become one of the typical league-uniques and will be probably good and cheap available.

Bitter Heresy - 50% more damage

We channel simply the combination:

cyclone - aw cast while channeling - ball lightning of orbiting (lvl 1) - purifying flame of revelation (lvl 1)



The channelled consecrated ground spreads everywhere and is transformed in our deep "Bitter Heresy" into profane ground.

"Bitter Heresy" is by far the most easy and best bloodline for all HoA-ascendancies:

The Lycia Bloodline "Bitter Heresy" needs only 2 points for granting "Profane Ground", "Malediction" equal to 10% more damage and 20% more ehp, big 20% increased curse effects and the most mighty "Chaotic Might" for 30% more damage.

In our 100% chaos-conversion this is united full 50% more damage of the whole Arachnophobia-Build. Lecker. :-)


Here at this point already a typical cheap in lower budget geared HoA-Allstars-build reaches instead 200M now in [3.27] Keepers of Flame 300M dps.

1 jewel-slot is free released too. The Allstars no longer are in use of the jewel "Rational Doctrine".
As result and as example instead the two jewels "Forbidden flame and flesh" are easy squeezed in to add one more ascendancy-notable to our ascendancies-set-ups.

As alternative to purifying flame of revelation we summon a holy flame totem or the flask Bottled Faith will perhaps be transformed into profane ground also. Tornadoes of Elemental Turbulences can be in example easy cwdt-triggered for more HoA-virulences.


Really don't need or don't want the 50-100M dps?

The Allstars reach fast 100-250M dps, but for almost all poe-content only 40-70M damage are helpful and needed.

And Chaotic might's damage is thumbed equal to 2.5 medium clusters pure agony, that is equal in lategame to 50-300M HoA-dps.

As result you can i.e. balance in and out:

■ use different tanky amulets, i.e. aul's uprising purity of elements to buff support-spectres tanky, or grace etc., defiance of destiny, etc.
■ push out the clunky spirit offering or the squishy golems, spectres, AG, instead push in tanky skills like frostshield, frostwall, enfeeble, etc. like guided in "all skills, auras and trigger" --> "free skillsockets" or in "endgame" --> "level 100".
■ get on medium clusters notables like spiked concoction and fasting + perhaps squeeze also in a flask-mastery for almost 100% utility-flasks-uptimes before / or instead mageblood, keep instead the darkness enthroned-belt or gear graven's secret

Not fully recommended, because collateral also very helpful 2-3 jewel-slots are switched out:

■ push out 1 large cluster set-up, shorten your tree to 2 large cluster-set-ups, get instead a lot free passives for more tanky mana-, es-, recouping -, life-, shield-, reservation-masteries
■ switch voices to alternative rare large clusters for more spellblock, withers etc.



That bloodline alone solely is as mighty and impactful as the legacy [3.19] Lake of Kalandra Necro-Ascendancy now fresh and new for all Ascendancies without serious investments!!

No real downside avenges, we are crit-immune in the poison-mastery and 10% increased curse effects do not harm us. It seems to me it's one of the most valuable 2-points bloodlines in whole 3.27. Fun detected.

Farewell to Flesh - The Passion of Agony

Beyond arrives the Bloodliner's dream of all of us passionated in 1000M and far further into 2000M crawling Damage Stingers in the later endgame:



When we reserve life for HoA with "Farewell to Flesh", we catch another 70-95% juicy *MORE* HoA-dps-multiplier.


Pathing into the mandatory needed "Blood Magic" in the southwestern passivetree is very interesting as fortification-stacking Champs, as lucky blocking Gladiators, or as retiring ed-charges stacking Juggs.

In other ascendancies the "Blood Magic"-keystone comes in on the helmet "Malachai's Simula".

Then the Allstars combinate their new keystone with the bodyarmour "Shavronnes Wrapping".
Because our life-pool is used for HoA-reservations, skills, spells, and perhaps tempestshield, life is reduced to a tiny small puddle, we need the bodyarmour Shavronnes Wrapping protect our last drips of life safe against chaos-damage.



Shavronnes Wrappings are not needed against most Ubers and other non-chaos poe-content. There we can gear i.e. a "Skin of the Lords" "Bloodmagic" for tankyness, "Brass dome" or "Saqawal's Nest" for the squeezed-in dps-buff with "aspect of the avian".



The missing auras and and in chaos-content loosing the tanky global defences of Skin of Lords needs to be compensated with

■ by mageblood buffed permanent utility flasks
■ 90% max-resis
■ 100% spellsuppression
■ additional blockings (eg on small clusters second skin)
■ some endurance charges
■ the runegraft of fortress
■ other stacked flat dr like enfeeble, debilitations, sapped ground, sigil of power, infused channeling, stone golem, stone golem of safeguard, etc.
■ from tanky-buffed support-spectres 2-4 granted tanky auras
■ perhaps 1 more aura socketed into the ring 'essence worm'
■ beside Withering Step probably the Balance of Terror-jewel should be used for full 15 withers instead Sin's Rebirth to free up a flask-slot
■ our Es can be increased with Shavronnes Revelation ring
■ And we slot in forbidden flame and flesh to add one of the hidden ascendancies like as Necro "Nine lives" (Recoupings), as Jugg "Indomitable Resolve" (reduces all damage taken 25%), as Guardian "Searing Purity" (81% chaos dr) or other fitting tanky ascendancies.





Also the amulet "Uul Netol's Vow" for the increased life-reservations of the 7th HoA-link turn in awesome when we choose the path of "blood magic".
The unique clusterjewel "Calamitous Vision" for "Lone Messenger" should be useable in this set-up also.



The Svalinn for high lucky blockings will be again an attractive alternative too.


Farewell to Flesh will need ingame-testing in t-17 and Ubers-content before more specialized tipps will be guided.


Sinner Saint

Of course also the original sin-ascendancy points "Sinner Saint" can be used to buff a second damageskill beside HoA into full chaos (with the ring call of the brotherhood and more utility).

Please visit in "endgame" the spoiler --> "The Ubers" --> there at the buttom the spoiler "The elephant in the room - 2 damageskills".

Absolution of Inspiring, Storm Burst, Storm rain etc. can be boosted into a few millions of damage.

A good geared HoA-Lycia-Necro, Lycia-Champ, Lycia-Pathfinder as well as HoA-Tricksters, HoA-Guardians etc. will deal in lategame around 1B to 2B damage with Herald of Agony.

The choice of the Tanks | The Alternative | The Bloodlines of Delirium and Chaos

Delirious Bloodline Hallucinogenic Tendencies: When our copy is killed enemies are debuffed big and deal 30% less damage and take 30% increased damage.

That's huge, the choice of tanks.
But has it really a reliable uptime and does it have a cooldown?

Delirious Bloodline Schizophrenic Dissocication: A new guard-like skill absorbes 40% damage taken, but needs then after to recover and to recoup the damage in 4 seconds.
Not much challenging with our already high overstacked allstars-recovery.
Perfect for keystone glancing blows on skin of the lords, perfect for tricksters with spell breaker, perfect for juggs with untiring, and perfect for many more of our recovery-mechanics like ghost dance, divine shield, etc.
Should become easy again to tank Maven's Memory attack and other big hits.

But as full downside all jewels like the golden rule, the watcher's eye and timeless jewels are no longer useable.

..... Sorry, now in this moment I not have a way of compensation to counter this unfair ggg-revenge.

But when the wording of the downside means that jewels can still be inserted into all the sockete of our 9 medium clusters the Allstars fit almost perfect for this bloodline. It quite remembers about the Adorned-bug with the difference passive tree to clusters, so my personal tendency is, including Delirium and Simulacrum is the specialized content for all clusters, that jewels still can be socketed into clusterjewels.

In the FAQ GGG clarified the downside is meant for all jewels, also in clusterjewels.

Chaos Bloodline Ultimatum Trial Master - Vaal discipline can be stacked with the runegraft of the soulwick to 2 vaal souls each sec. With the reservation mastery and more duration 18 secs vaal discipline-uptime is easy reached.
That's almost half a granted Trickster-ascendancy / or full Soul Ripper-Happy Hour for all Allstars.

Also Vaal Impurity of Ice, Vaal Grace, Vaal Molten Shell etc. could be nice buffed up.

Ritual Nameless Bloodlines: Switch in only life-, hybrid- and enduring mana-flasks, also with utility-suffixes, also the Grasping nightshade sporebloom tincture for cyclone-withers.
Alternative Divination Distillate for item rarity and Writhing jar for minion offence mastery for unholy might after kill or bearing Arakaali's fang are interesting too

Then use elegant hubris supreme decadence, perhaps further petrified blood, be unaffected by poison for free boots-choice (i.e. rare eldritch boots, rainbow strides, bubonic trails), eg balance of terror jewel for withers, and use 3 rings (i.e. a hungry loop to buff support-spectres tanky, a shaper ring life+mana on spellhit, as CI shavronne revelation, to buff up the HoA-virulences generating to a second damageskill original sin, etc. on 3. slot)

..... not really recommended, the Allstars have no decisive stats like negative lightning-resistances for Doryani's Prototype slotted on the ring-slots.
But perhaps valuable with crangled rings birthed in the new genesis tree.

The Grafts - Implantated new skills

The 2 implantated Backgrafts are introduced to fill gaps in the build. We can use them flexible to buff most wanted defences, HoA-virulences, brittle, cc or a bit damage.


Genesis tree

A new second corrupting / vaal orbing-like risky gamble.

Because the Allstars are specialists for using much unique gear and flexible on each slot, probably that's the most interesting new league-mechanic.

Crafting in the genesis tree "Birthed" uniques Circles of Nostalgia, Aegis Aurora, CIP, Eber's, Triad Grips, SoL, Ashes, etc. will be extreme interesting.


Tipps for Levelling in [3.27] Keepers of the Flame

While early levelling with HoA I always pushed a mix of different 4 sources of dps:

1) a mainskill like poisonous concoction with mandatory 80-100% chances to poison (guided in "HoA step by step", easy reached on the tree and with chance to poison-support), poison- / chaos-masteries, much thrown flasks (lmp, volley, attackspeed), of course fitting updated flasks and enough flask-charges which buff the damage too.
Flamewalls are good supporting beside.

Poisonous concoction is nerfed 20%, so other early mainskills are as same strong in 3.27. Mmhmm, sorry, I also still did not decided which early leaguestart-skill looks best for 3.27. A basic overview for alternative skills is listed in the top of the spoiler "beginning and levelling".

Perhaps Cyclone - cwc - absolution - chance to poison, or absolution - faster casting - chance to poison - spell echo are good choices or storm rain - chance to poison can be good chosen instead poisonous concoction.
Or jungroan guides a 3.27 kinetic rain heraldstacker as leaguestarter on YouTube.

2) Only "Whispers of Doom", "Redemption", "Spiritual Aid" or with good sources of withers "Corruption" are worth to be pathed.
Further there are no HoA-keystones and not really damage-related passivetree-notables and no good buffing auras available.

So the key and the best choice to boost HoA is the continuous generating of full 40 HoA-virulences. They are gained with fast hitting skills/spells and need 80-100% chances to poison.
Against singletargets the HoA-virulences are doubled with jewel the golden rule. Then the levelling-helmet maw of conquest is recommended to counter the suicide-poison-reflections. Maw of conquest requires minimum lvl 48.

Before other skills and minions like absolution, hop, srs, phantasms etc. are faster.

But with the default full 40 virulences or 45 virulences with HoA-gemquality the HoA already hits like a truck when you keep the virulences constantly up.


3) 3-4 sources of burstdamage: plaguebearer to melt bosses, vaal skeletons (or vaal absolution) against bosses, withering step for withers, and curses like despair, sniper's mark, punishment etc.

4) Then from lvl 54 onwards get fast cheap medium clusters pure agony, cheap #7-passives voices, and circle of nostalgia, they are the best damage-buffs at that level.

Then also the transfigured skillgems Ball Lightning of Orbiting, Tornadoes of Elemental Turbulences, linked to chance to poison, already get interesting to replace poisonous concoction. They produce more HoA-virulences. Also poisonous concoction of bouncing, default storm burst and default ball lightning are fast and generate full HoA-virulences.

At that step Ghastly jewels, CIP or Arakaali's fang, Ebers Unification when we sniped cheap rare boots "unaffected by poison", the alternatives shield "Victario's Charity" when ball-lightnings are already used, or support-spectres are high damage also.


So for that gear a few chaos/alchemy-orbs are needed, around 3, and then for the first medium clusters around 3-10 more. In Secrets the currency was easy looted fighting early some Mercs, and I hope in 3.27 there are sources for some early drops again. In example the Genesis Tree will grow currency for us.

Also the new Grafts are designed to heavy accelerate levelling.

I myself started with freezing pulse and flame wall. After the first areas I switched into: holy flame totem - phantasms - summon raging spirits. After lab 1 I switched to unleash - ball lightning of orbiting - chance to poison - phantasms to trigger HoA with optimal fast virulences.

Overall there are faster levelling skills out there which are better buffed early on the tree with keystones and masteries.
So HoA will be probably again not the optimal leaguestart-racer and choosing other skills until 5-10 chaos-orbs are gained is a good choice when you focus most on high leaguestart-speed.



Tipps for [3.27] set-up and trade in leaguestart day one

There are already many Foulborn Skin of Loyals, +20% quality of socketed gems, that means a lot HoA-damage, for 6 chaos available in trade, and medium clusters for 1 chaos. Smooth!

Allmost all other gear is already cheap available too.

Aegis auroras 2 div are much cheaper as in last leagues day one. 3.26 they were traded 3-4 div.

United in dreams is good used as starter weapon after Cybil's paw, 1 chaos, strong foulborn-mods also available. Do not use Envy. Get Unholy might or +30% quality to all minion gems.

In place of a watcher's eyes roll or buy a shaper ring life on spellhit, 5 chaos.
Then you can switch Cybil's paw to the United in Dreams or +3 Cold Iron Point dagger.

Only circles of nostalgia are 35 chaos, last league they were early traded 2 chaos. Path to one more reservation- or mana-mastery or to "presage" before you get one.

Elegant Hubris commissioned Cadiro for the hybrid-recovery-keystone Supreme decadence are at cheap 3 chaos.

Ball lightning of Orbiting and Tornado of Elemental Turbulence are already at cheap 1 chaos.

Sin's Rebirth was never so cheap so early: 1 chaos.

Other typical day one prices are: Maata's teaching +2 you get for 14 chaos, stygian belts for 2 alch-orbs (or darkness enthroned for 30 chaos), good ghastly jewels for 5 chaos, 7#p-voices 28 chaos, etc ....

I started a day later into league and then after some hours needed to interrupt 4 days. But with the genesis tree and some breaches eg I had already around 15 chaos in stash until lvl 50 in a few hours.

Since then I made a chaos each 2 breaches and the first div was birthed already from the genesis tree lvl 52.


New skillgems

The new kinetic int-gems look at first sight fast enough to be channeled, unleashed or triggered for HoA-virulences (i.e. the new wall of force instead tornadoes or ball-ligtnings).
Of course they need to be tested ingame and to be optimized.


Spectres forever

The new reviving Spectres will throw some charges, auras and curses in again.

Of course the whole build works without spectres too, and we can focus simply on the immortal HoA when wanted.


New alternative gear

A new helmet that gives headhunter to linked minions was introduced in the showcase:
Link skills can target damageable minions
Your linked minions take 73% less damage
On killing a rare monster, a random linked minion gains its modifiers for 60 seconds
That helmet would fit to buff the AG, Golem or the support-spectres.

The nerfs

Spell Suppression nerf

"Spell Suppression now prevents 40% of Damage from Suppressed Hits and Ailments they inflict (previously 50%)."

The Allstars with their 90% flat dr, flat 90% +max resis of melding of the flesh and their mix of defensive layers are very much less affected compared to all other builds with spell suppression as central major layer of defences.

But in [3.27] the full maxing of +max resis above 85% into 90% becomes more desired and more valuable.
When wanted put in 1-2 more rare jewels +2% max cold-resis or use a support-spectre for purity of ice to focus more into elemental tankyness. Use 1 passive in a suppression-mastery for 4% increased suppression-effects.


Poisonous Concoction nerf

Poisonous concoction now has 22-537 to 33-806 Added Chaos Damage at gem levels 1-20 (previously 30-716 to 44-1073), and Added Chaos Damage is equal to 4-16% of Flask's Recovery Amount if Charges were consumed from a Life Flask (previously 3-11%).

While levelling without b.i.s. rolled flasks a 20% nerf to our recommended low-level skill and resulting now into less recommendations as levelling skill.

HoA, cyclone and spells become more interesting while levelling in place of poisonous concoction.



More Patchnotes 3.27 - Minion-Accuracy, Trickster, Map-mods

"Minion Attacks now inherently always hit."

HoA had always already high 95% hit-chances while mapping. So this is equal to a +5% more HoA-damage-buff. Against high-evasion bosses and mobs that's further equal to an around 10% more HoA-damage-buff.

Good buff for AG, he always missed. His curses on hit are much better procced.


Trickster

"The Heartstopper Notable Ascendancy Passive Skill now grants Every 10 seconds, Take 50% less Damage from Hits for 5 seconds (previously 40%), and Take 50% less Damage over Time for 5 seconds (previously 40%).

The Soul Drinker Notable Ascendancy Passive Skill no longer has 20% increased Attack and Cast Speed while Leeching Energy Shield.

The Spellbreaker Notable Ascendancy Passive Skill no longer has +20% chance to Suppress Spell Damage, and now has Prevent +15% of Suppressed Spell Damage while on Full Energy Shield (previously 10%).

The One Step Ahead Notable Ascendancy Passive Skill now has Your Action Speed is at least 90% of base value (previously 108%), and Nearby Enemy Monsters' Action Speed is at most 90% of base value (previously 92%)."

We simply switch "One step ahead" instead into one of the new Herald-bloodline-ascendancy-notables.

No impact for the HoA-Trickster. We already have 90% cold-resis, are unaffected by stuns and further compensate with freeze-immunities on AG, spectres, ghastly jewels or pantheon of brine king.

Almost more a small buff because we do not rely at all on the speed-buff and es-leech! And we exchange One step ahead against the Lycia-Bloodline for damage (or alternative the Delirious Bloodline for tankyness).


T-17 Map-mod

"The detonation speed of most Monster Volatile Cores can no longer scale with attack or cast speed. Additionally, the ability for some sources of Volatile Cores to ignore block, evasion, and spell suppression has been removed. Volatile Cores from the Tier 17 Map modifiers and specific Ritual Monsters have also had their damage reduced."

One of the most unconfomfortable t-17 mods got the long awaited nerf to normal average lethality. :-)


I do more of the puzzling and maths soon and will add 2 new, tanky and dd, Lycia-HoA-pob-loadouts.
I will add 2 new, tank and dd, Lycia-ascendancy-rankings also.

Most PoB-configurations are updated for [3.27].
All PoB's minor adjustements, PoB exportations into 3.27, and all until now unrevealed league-content will be updated soon for leaguestart.

Simply the elevated prefix "unaffected by poison" on hunter influenced boots is far the best in lategame.

Because 4w triad grips and Eldritch rare helmet, also shield, belt, bodyarmour are too strong, the jewel 'bound by destiny' is not optimal in lategame.





Before while leveling the cheap helmet "maw of the conquest" has the same mod.

In early game the jewel "bound by destiny" with wearing 2 hunter-items is possible too when it's cheap. In lategame the lost jewelslot is much more worse as the taken boots-prefix.

Yes, I also recommend Hybrid life+es in high & juiced content. CI can be fast plugged in, but Hybrid is in much content, t17 and against dot and Ubers tankier.

Hybrid is already chosen in the tanky pob and guided in spoilers like "Tipps for beginning", "To CI or to Hybrid?", "Elegant Hybris: Supreme Decadence", "Craftings", "The Ubers" etc.

Let's wait for the patchnotes.

Ordinary the Skin of the Lords reaches almost the range of tankyness of 1-3 mirrors priced rare bodyarmours, but there are a lot of variations possible to balance out of es when needed.
Overall the build balances much into stacked 90-95% flat damagereductions and overstacked multiple sources of recovery, and bathed tanky in the 25% more damage taken Mercenary-group-debuff, so an es-nerf should be no problem as Hybrid.

Or alternatively we will buff the new surviving support-spectres more tanky for more tanky auras and more HoA-frenzy charges. Often also the new league-mechanic frees up capacity of 10-20 flexible useable passives.

yes same... i was like champ for 100% cyclone hit chance a bit more dmg and forty.. aswell as high block chance (kind of different tree thasn yours)

Hehehe, yes, it`s a tough choice.

Trickster, Guardian and Necro are in these leagues ahead of the other ascendancies.

Most relaxing is the tanky Trickster.
Highest crit-dps-capacities, best skills to use support-minions and awesome flexibility has the Necro.
The guardian is the relaxed allrounder too.

I am myself also not sure which I take. I had already levelled 8 HoA-ascendancies to 100.

Probably I breach as Trickster or as Necro.

A medium geared Lycia-Necro or Lycia-Pathfinder will deal in lategame around 1B up to 2B damage with Herald of Agony.

I was on the fence for playing HoA again, This might have been the tipping point

the way the lycia ascendency is worded, I think it only grants more damage based on how much reservation that specific herald has. So I THINK, you need only HoA to be reserving all the life?

Pathfinder looks to have some extra ascendency points room as well.

Natures reprisal
Natures Boon(maybe drop this and pickup 3x bloodline ascendencies)
Lycia - Farewell to Flesh

4th ascendency
Farrul -Wild Will (onl y able to have 1 spectre, but you can gain 20% cast/movement and prevents action speed below base)
OR
Deli - Schizophrenic dissociation for huge tanky ness
OR
Catarina - Umbral Army fit a few more spectres in to get their bonuses and end with 36 to 60% global defences

I did a short test run on Witch, and it was very rough leveling for me personally. Is there any particular changes I can or should make to struggle a bit less?

I was in act 4 with 4 link HoAG and had tried Sybils and cyclone-cwc. Single target felt like it didn't exist, and tried swapping back to Pconc and was barely any better. I had my first lab done but really didn't help at all.

I considered trying out a different class to start, but I feel like Necro has the highest ceiling for gear and damage later on.
Thoughts on the new Living Lightning support potentially being used to apply poison for virulence stacking, like Arakaali's Fang?
