hi, I'm having an error :
-------------------------------------- "Art/Textures/Environment/Act3/epicdoorns.dds": in source code file: Resource/TextureResource.cpp at line 37, processing file: Art/Textures/environment/Act3/epicdoorns.dds Error: E_OUFOFMEMORY Description: Ran out of memory -------------------------------------- everytime I try to enter the sarn slums. the file may change (epicdoorns.dds is sometime replaced by others files), not the error (and the line of the cpp code) here is my system specs : -Q6600 @ 3 GHz (FSB 1066 > 1333) -2x 2 GB DDR2-6400 kingston hyperX -ASUS P5B -MSI GTX 470 twinfrozr (314.07 driver, just updated it) -Sound Blaster audigy 2 -windows XP (all patches applied), 32 bits -hyperx 700W PSU -philips E273ELH I have played Fallout 3 and Fallout NewVegas for more than 200 hours each with this gig. and that's just games that had an integrated counter so it's easy to know and remember :D. I had some errors, with another memory-hungry game : Sacred 2 (and extension Fire and Ice), but POE is crashing way more often. well, blame it on the beta :) my workaround so far from browsing the forum : -visual settings from texture high and FSAA at "2" to texture medium and no FSAA. -tried FSAA from nvidia driver, no crash but maybe a little sluggish with the options I used... -updated nvidia driver -added "-gc 2" to the game shortcut -deleted 15+ MB logfile in \logs even with "-gc 2", I still crash everytime with high texture. about that, is there at least a way to know what it does and if there's other possible values for the -gc X ? the best would be a detailed help for all the command line options available :) like client --help :D I don't think my system is low spec enough to have to lower my viewing experience, given some better-looking games run flawlessly at greater visual settings. those bugs are getting frustating, but the game is great. the feeling of being an exile in act 1 is really well thought out, graphics are very nice, playing is fun and addictive. I'll soon shell some bucks. I promised myself I'd do when I get to the ending the first time :) (and, well, my stash is getting pretty packed :D) you should implement a "time played" counter :P (and a graphical progression display of some sort so we don't wait too long on the loading screen between level when there's an error in the background) and while I'm at it : a way to change brightness in-game. for now, I use an integrated function from my monitor to enhance the brightness. Everytime I yank a jawbone from a skull, then ram it in an eyesocket, I know I'm buildin' a better future ! Última edição por misatokitkat#7226 em 4 de mar. de 2013 22:14:01

I heard there was an issue with soundblaster, but I thought it was for X-Fi cards.
I have 3 soundcards in my PC : the built-in from the motherboard (ADI soundmax), the SB audigy, and the built-in from my GPU. As my monitor is linked with HDMI, I tried to play with sound directed to my GPU today. it didn't help much with textures sets to "high", but once I had texture to medium, it was OK. not a single crash from marketplace to barracks in act 3. tomorrow, I'll try to play on the audigy with the same settings, see if the different sound card helped. I'm disappointed to not be able to use high textures, but if I have 90 FPS in closed space (like the battlefront), I sometimes drop do 20 FPS in open space (like marketplace). even if I didn't see much change to my FPS with high or medium textures ... endgame is near :P Everytime I yank a jawbone from a skull, then ram it in an eyesocket, I know I'm buildin' a better future !
