Why have you stopped playing?

I *gave a break* after I was disappointed with lack of improvements at full release. I was looking forward to see improvements in desynch and command queue systems in the game so I could play high mobility melee where my player skills come into picture.

But every new addition pushed game further to more automated play where anything that would require player skills would not either work or desynch badly.
Also it was a huge disappointment to see new content had 0 optimization. Never had that bad FPS in any other game (even in ones with WAAAAY better graphics).

Been back to LoL since then, and when I came back a few times to check I found it even worse since I experienced the smooth combat of LoL recently.

But still hopeful for PoE and waiting patiently for the day they will add a command queue, and fix desynch; then I will come back.

Spoiler
PS: I really dont understand why desynch has to be here, and why PoE doesnt have command queue.

Yes I read the manifesto, and LoL does everything manifesto claims with no desynch at all and even better with 10 players and countless minions fighting in the same area.

Its response speed is immediate, and you can cancel actions, you can take cover from spell projectiles by moving behind trees/walls/minions. You can dodge spell projectiles by running around. You can disengage enemies. There are tons of mobility skills in either fast moving or teleporting form. Animations are smooth and clear. Chars block each others path, cant move through other chars or minions.

Those are the stuff manifesto claims why PoE is special and has to have desynch and lack of command queue. Yet they are all done perfectly in LoL with absolutely 0 desynch.

I have started playing less and less lately, mainly because my two main characters need better gear to progress and I just can't afford it.

The economy is so ridiculous... grinding low level maps to get half a bar of xp per map is just boring as hell.

I am looking forward to several other games that are coming soon, EQN, SotA...
As I was going up the stair, I met a man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today, I wish, I wish he'd go away.
I was about to stop playing, but I decided to forget about leveling and to just have fun again. I sold all of my duelist's gear and all of my maps. I have a naked level 93 now, and although it felt horrible to sell everything I worked so hard for, it was worth it. I feel a lot better about PoE again, just playing it for fun again. It's easy to let the game suck you in and make it feel like work. So I just said fuck it.

I ended up with a ton of currency. So I bought a 6L for my freeze pulser (first one ever), and I'm playing with a crappy EB life freezing pulser now. Still am not even high enough level to use the chest, but I felt really happy when looking at it and my currency. Made me like PoE again. I've never had near that in currency, rolling maps is insanely expensive.

Turns out though, those maps sell for a pretty penny. It took a lot to just sell the gear and call it quits on the leveling shit, but it was worth it. At least I'll get a little more time out of PoE now, rather than quitting or suiciding to 78 Dominus like I was going to do (I regret not trying to kill him though, it would've been nice after 20 days of playing that character, since it is like the ultimate test).

I still have 300 chaos, a 6L saintly, and a bunch of gear to sell. A few days ago all I had was a ranking. Not worth it, at all. And even though my character will probably die soon, it was nice to see those shiny orbs in my stash for a while.

Wow, I actually realised that a lot of people posting here "I stopped playing the game because..." are for some of them active forums posters. I don't really see the point of quittin, and I understand better why there is so much qq going on here.

Yeah I feel you, when my 89 witch died in Onslaught league (nothing compared to a 93 character but still), I felt bad but also "relieved" somehow. I took a month and an half break before release, and the fun was back again.

What you speak of is the game's biggest flaw, and the reason most people have moved on again. You shouldn't have to sell a char just to make a new one, and most people don't want 10 level 70 chars with inferior gear. Playing 1-2 thousand hours on a single char should be more than enough to fund your next couple of chars with end-game gear, but it sadly isn't even enough to find BiS gear for 1 char.

Yeah, I agree. If I had some currency I would've been fine. But between buying gear (and only what I could afford, not even the best) and doing maps, it was impossible.

Now maybe it is because I played solo, and PoE is a multiplayer game. Maybe I just expected something the game wasn't meant to be. And that's fine, I can accept that, if that's the case.

I havent stopped entirely, but I intend to play a lot less. I realized I'm grinding maps (and burning currency) just for the sake of getting more maps, but without looting anything that would make me reroll or want to try out a different build.

I still havent looted a Palace map, so there is still a tiny side reason to continue mapping, but... meh...
When night falls
She cloaks the world
In impenetrable darkness
I am still playing. The game is awesome!
The chance to Vaal +1% maximum resists on an amulet is less than 1/300.
Well, I still play, but I plan on quitting after the leagues end. I got a TON of life out of this game, but I've done everything I wanted to do. If drops were better, I'd keep playing just for the rush of finding loot. As it is though, I've been playing for 9 months and I've found exactly one high level unique...like six months ago...and I've played like 600 hours since then. That's beyond ridiculous by any reasonable standard.

Getting drops like these all the time. Makes me tired of playing it.
