New unique leak(Staff) + Old rhoa image
This is the 950$+ supporters newsletter:
Hello Supporters, This week my key task is getting 1.1.5 ready to being deployed next week. It contains some cool things, as well as some cool things players know about that we have been keen to get in for a while. Prior to the completion of 1.1.5, we were working on both 1.1.5 and 1.2.0 at the same time. Releasing 1.1.5 means everyone can focus on 1.2.0 (well, aside from those working on Act 4). This week Rory is going to discuss one of the upcoming unique items in 1.1.5 Pledge of Hands Today we’re revealing a unique that was originally intended to drop from Atziri. It was waiting on us to be happy with a support gem before we could deploy it in a patch. ![]() The art was originally concepted as an option for a supporter unique, but the supporter chose another style instead. We loved Campbell’s concept so much that we wanted to use it for a unique anyway, so the art inspired the design of the rest of this unique item. Insider Info This week I am posting the oldest concept art I can find for both the Rhoa and the Devourer. The Rhoa image was called Rhoa4 so I assume there are 3 iterations I can’t find from earlier. The Devourer art was back from when the monster had quite a different concept. The art has not changed that much, but the monster is no longer a “Root Spider”. Originally it was attached to trees. There was a shaking animation as it emerged from the ground at the roots of the tree. In playtesting we found them more fun if they could move freely.

That's awesome my man, I have no idea what you're talking about or its relevance to this thread, but I love your passion no less! |

Holy moly. That's awesome. Can't wait for spell echo! And a potential 7L (with level 30 (!!!) echo). And that art <3
Thanks for sharing! "Fixing the endgame was hard - No matter how hard we buffed red maps, people would keep spamming Gorges.
So we turned Gorge into a red map" |

" 1) It doesn't have a lot going on but that doesnt' mean its completely uninteresting. Its a potential 7L which is already really awesome and utilizes a new skill gem at lvl 30! That's pretty interesting IMO. 2) Don't automatically assume that its over powered and will be nerfed. A wand/shield combo is incredibly good and offers a lot more than that staff can.....block, crit, ES, life etc etc etc Edit: Its funny how in this thread the new staff is OP while in the unique items thread someone is calling it under powered. Another unique with abysmal droprates that will go legacy.
They sure do know how to excite people /s Vote +1 to change Path of Exile to Path of Nerfs.
We hate to say, but ProjectPT was right. |

well you are right , staff for caster is most often a bad idea in endgame compared to wand/scepter + shield but well, a free 7L with a lvl 30 support, with no real drawback except that it's a staff, well, for me it's a bad design.

So the new support gem will be Echo? :>

" That staff has some indirect drawbacks. No cast speed. No crit. No mana regen (ok, the +100% mana takes care of that). Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
