pierce with the doubledip and drillneck is way to strong, but yes you are right had the same thoughts in this sec "the posion gem only offers the poison effect" right? so with the ascendancy it should be useless? ill try it out right now, would hit insane damage then lol.. btw what do you think about my passive tree? changed a few things like the poison and point blank to farm atziri / uber even better (althought i oneshot me now with frenzy when standing close to atziri xD)

I like your passive tree and jewel stats. I assume Point Blank is something you do because you wanna farm Uber Atziri :)? I don' think it is worth it for any other fight but it sure it strong against her. I would only make small changes like this:

Remember pierce caps at 100% and arrow pierce counts towards the damage aswell. So with your current passive tree you have 50% from talents, 50% from pierce gem and 10% from drillneck. So you can saves 1 passive without missing out on any pierce chance.

Also if you do not need the stats from Primal Spirit you could consider going the more standard Heart of Oak road. However I would not recommend doing so before gaining Druidic Rites (right below Ranger start).

Since you can trigger poison without poison gem pierce is surely the best choice. However even with scaling of drillneck it cannot compare PPAD. The difference is a 20% multiplier vs. a 50% increase. More multipliers win everytime. Anyways it doesn't really matter since you found a better way with 'clever use of game mechanics' :D

Switch out your rings + helmet with some more defensive items. Should be fairly cheap.
Also your amulet could use some work (look for all attributes / int + str base amulet with flat phys + crit multi + room for crit chance enchant and decent life roll. 0 resistance on this item is your goal.
Make up for loss of resistance on helmet + rings and if need be jewels.

Also if you want more detailed feedback make your characters public (right now your account is public but your characters aren't). In this way we could pinpoint some passive tree flaws :)
