You do not have to switch out any passives :) However make sure your Ascendancy path makes sense for your skill-setup.

I would recommend not crafting on your bow. If the Lioneye's Glare was a well rolled model you should keep using that.

Bow crafting is a somewhat costly process. Judging from your gear you do not have the currency yet. Buy the best rare bow you can get your hands on within your budget. This should not be hard. For instance I got myself this one last night for 3c.



If you want to get into crafting you should buy 6 x Bowyer's Dream Cards (total cost 5ex or so) and start rolling for Merciless which is 170+% (http://poeaffix.net/2h-bow.html#id). Tyrannical is allright aswell if you do not have a lot of alterations for rolling.

Once you hit the Merciless prefix you spend an augmentation (yes you should roll a suffix because it increased the chance of a prefix on your regal roll) and then a regal. If you hit a very low tier flat phys you should scour and start over. If you do not need to start over craft one of the following Tora enchants - Flat Phys > Critical Chance > Attack Speed.

From there on there are some additional potential crafting with lvl 8 Elreon and lvl 8 Haku but it is not needed to begin with.

I always thought making a two-affix-rare after hitting Merciless would be better if I wanted a really good bow because of the possibility of crafting on both attack speed and crit chance (as well as flat physical) with Elreon mod, which won't work if the Augment gives me a useless suffix. And if the Augment gives me a useless prefix it didn't make an impact anyway. You're clearly more experienced than me with crafting, so where am I wrong?

I am now down to my last Exalted trying to craft a good Harbinger, having already spammed about six to eight Exalted of Alterations/Regals/Scours (though I was able to sell decent but not good enough Harbingers for currency a couple of times). It's a fun and harmless way to act out gambling addictions though.

It depends on what you mean by 'a really good bow'.
Without augmentation you have a higher chance of hitting a "standard" 345-350 pdps Harbinger bow with somewhere between 22-27% suffix crit chance roll.

With augmentation you increase the chance of hitting a prefix roll from your regal which can take your Harbinger even higher.

If you hit a really bad suffix you can always remove it with lvl 8 Haku.

As for your first starter crafted bow I would always go for Merciless + augmentation + regal + Tora and ending up with 4 rolls. Later on you can start using Elreon + Haku shenanigans. This is method is usually done early in the league before having access to lvl 8 master crafting.

In the blast rain links, shouldn't the conc be blue? Makes it a bit harder to get the color right if you're trying to do it on a bow, but I feel like that might throw some people off.

Did my first successful Uber Atziri today and im pretty happy about it (was the 3rd try in total). Just started this league with my first Atziri so Uber was a great achievment :)

I used Frenzy + Puncture Trap and i have to say the dmg feels pretty inconsistent.. Im using ppad pierce poison trap pointblank puncture and sometimes i oneshot the clones, sometimes not.. is it so dependent of the crit?

PPAD has a 49% more multiplier while pierce has a 29% more multiplier and 50% increased damage because you are wearing drillneck. Even with Drillneck PPAD should still be way better than Pierce in your setup.

Also if you can time poison with flasks (I am not sure if you need to be using a flask when you throw down the trap or when the trap triggers) poison should also be a fairly weak gem since all it would contribute with would be a 38% increased poison damage (and 10% duration which is nice) if you get a 20/20 poison gem. However if you cannot make a trap trigger a poison effect without the poison gem on a consistent base I think your choice of gems seem quite solid.

Consider switching out pierce with ICS though :)

pierce with the doubledip and drillneck is way to strong, but yes you are right had the same thoughts in this sec "the posion gem only offers the poison effect" right? so with the ascendancy it should be useless? ill try it out right now, would hit insane damage then lol.. btw what do you think about my passive tree? changed a few things like the poison and point blank to farm atziri / uber even better (althought i oneshot me now with frenzy when standing close to atziri xD)

edit:// teste it, doesnt matter if potion was active when trap was thrown, wow will be insane freedps since i use 3 quicksilver for atziri anyways
