Possible to perma-freeze T15 bosses?
|
I was just wondering if any builds have been capable of perma-freezing end game T15-T16 bosses that aren't immune to freezing?
Anyone have any information on how much life different T15+ bosses have? This would make calculating the damage required to freeze them possible. Fresh builds all day. Último bump em 14 de nov. de 2016 17:06:27

" To be honest freeze is a pretty awful mechanic against most bosses. Not sure on the exact value of T15 boss health...but I can say that I tried freezing pulse last league and it couldn't freeze past T11/T12. Granted Freezing pulse isn't the highest DPS coldspell. I dont' think relying on freezes on high-level bosses is really an option. GGG doesn't like permafreeze on bosses as such the mechanic seems to be designed as such. |

" Do you remember if you did crit freezing pulse and what your average hit was? I've been able to freeze up to T13 bosses so far and I'm wondering how much more damage I need to get to be able to freeze T15+. It's understandable that GGG doesn't want permafreezing end game bosses to be easy to achieve, that would make the game pretty boring. I'm just trying to figure out if it's possible to achieve somehow. Fresh builds all day.

I suspect it is possible to substantially freeze many bosses 12-14
I am currently perming t10's and having a lot of difficulty with 12's, am rarely able to freeze them for short durations but I am expecting a large dps boost within a few days and look forward to some better freezing results. my build is expensive and the effort to reach this level of freezing capacity is high. I don't expect to touch any guardians or atziri but I am hoping to clear some t15 bosses. (just not without dieing multiple times.) permafreezing t15s doesn't seem like even a rational goal. the goal should be to be capable of freezing a t15 often enough and for long enough to increase ones chances of kiting their attacks. your still gonna be kiting all over the place. |

" Could you provide some information about your build and gear? Are you stacking cast speed at all? I feel like it might be possible to permafreeze T15s if someone min/maxed the shit out of their build and had good gear. Fresh builds all day.

Long ago people achieved boss freezes by using freeze mine and elemental proliferation. Freeze the add on momsters and it proliferates onto the boss. They changed the skill to do damage so I suspect the reason it fell out of favor was that it would kill the add on monsters and shattered monsters don't proliferate. Now I think the problem would be that everybody uses AoE skills so you'd kill the proliferating monsters.

" Yeah.. I remember those days. I don't think freezing bosses using proliferation is viable anymore... However you can still freeze bosses with direct damage. Fresh builds all day.

A friend of mine is playing an inquisitor, he has massive ele dmg and he was able to permafreeze t15 rigwald and t14 dominus.

" Any idea what skill he is using and how good his gear is? Fresh builds all day.

Well a crit cold inqusitor. I guess you could just play arc with void battery, equip call of the brotherhood and this works. Inquisitor allows you to nearly permafreeze and shock all the time.
But the guardians have freeze immunity, I think also atziri and shaper have that, otherwise you could trivialize those fights pretty easily. But tbh, we had so much dps, at that point permafreezing wasn't much of a concern. I can't give you accurate numbers. Most bosses died in around 3 to 5 sec though. P.S.: sorry that my informations are not very accurate, but at least permafreeze confirmed ^^ Última edição por Flurbereinigung#1863 em 20 de set. de 2016 18:39:58
