I have a Skin of the Loyal that I want to use instead of my Tabula, but it has 2R2G2B. What is the best gem setup for a 6-link with those colors? Is it even worth switched from a tabula with these colors? Thanks for help. Loving the build so far, feels really nice not dying so often.
Well, they are worth/sold for 20ex and I spent 22ex making mine, so you not getting it after 3ex means not much.
I was only really going for the bare minimum +2 gem levels, didn't really care about hitting other minion mods at this stage.
Ended up buying a +2 wand with pre-crafted socketed spell cast for 9ex, which was probably less than what I would have spent trying to craft it myself.
seems about the standard price for a +2 with a spare suffix. bare in mind you can metacraft it later to multimod trigger + minion attack speed

2b is always hard, 0b would even be better. 4g2r for example works great if you can't afford 3r2g1b or 3g2r1b. I used a 4g2r +2 Skin for a while.
For 2b you would best go with Deathmark as the second blue link. Can't think of anything else that would help and Deathmark at least gives some damage.

On the AG topic. Seems out of place for a deep delver/boss killer, becausee for those things you can't use him. He won't survive Sirus and he sure as fuck won't survive deep deleves :D And giving up Feeding Freenzy and the Taunt from Meatshield? Sounds meh to me.
And for clearing maps people use other builds, this one will always be slow as fuck in it.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of AG, used one wearing gear worth 20ex last league on my Baron Zombiemancer. But there he had bigger benefits, I didn't have to give up so much to use him and he was 100% unkillable.
But I guess its an ok variation of the build, even though I kinda miss the point.
But maybe after updating the OP with AG stuff, you could also update it with the fact that an amulet is the much superior way to get level 31 HoAg, when compared to a shield.
I don't disagree, which is why I didn't have AG variant.
However many people have one main character and while this build will never be as fast at mapping as rangers at equal gear, it still has respectable mapping power especially if it is geared as the main character of the league.
I do think a budget AG/chieftain set up makes 95% of the contents smoother. Sirus is once every 40 maps, and many people won't delve to 1000 because it is . . . boring compared to mapping.
On the amulet topic, you can +2 amulet right? Pretty insane. And I agree far smaller trade off than shield.

Alright, two HUGE upgrades happened within 15 minutes. I bought this amulet for 2ex and multimodded it, so 4ex total:
To make it work I had to change a +30 str node to a +30 dex node. That was enough to still use a 21 HoAg gem. Now I had a level 31 HoAg, which is a 23% total DPS boost over a level 30. In my case it was 950k more Shaper DPS. And I lost only 350 ES, which is SO totally worth it.
And then this:
came on the market for 40ex. Was actually planning to use my remaining saved up currency on a Watchers Eye, but 40ex for a +2 with perfect colors seemed incredibly cheap from having watched the market over the last days.
My numbers:
15100 ES
Shaper DPS with Pierce: 4.3m
Shaper DPS with Vile Toxins: 5.1m
And I am not using Unwavering Crusade! With it it would be:
Shaper DPS with Pierce: 5.1m
Shaper DPS with Vile Toxins: 6m
So yea, 6m Shaper DPS reached if I decide to switch Time of Need or Bastion of Hope back to Unwavering Crusade. But honestly, the numbers are already insane enough without it, and they both provide significant defense and utility.
how are you calculating shaper DPS? cuz when I import your char, I get 2.8m tailspike dps.

Is there a reason this build doesn't use Righteous Army or Spiritual Aid minion passives?
Seems like a good DPS boost.

it doesn't really add as much as you would assume. just test it on PoB.
my dps without those nodes is 5.7m. adding them takes me to 6.08m which is 6.8% dps for 5 points. gravepact on the other hand is 12.5% for 4 points. so over twice as better in value of dps per point. so for 5 points it's pretty bad value and there isn't anywhere to take those 5 points from.
the only reasonable points for some more dmg is probably influence and leadership for 3 points. that gives a total of 8% dps for 3 points. but getting those 3 points without losing a ton of ES is the harder issue

vile toxins or hypothermia. either is fine. but always use PoB to see which will be better for your setup. it takes 30 seconds to check
Yea, either of those two. Both have downsides though. For Vile Toxins to have any effect, you need to have hit the monsters with Ball Lighting and poisoned them a few times. Not a problem for single target, there is Vile Toxin great. But while clearing or delving it will often have no effect because you simply won't be poisoning all the monsters.
Hypothermia on the other hand either only works after the first hit when your Crawler chilled the monsters, or you have to use Skitterbots. Then even the first hit will have the damage boost from Hypothermia.
As Skitterbots is a best in slot "aura" anyways and I was using it, I went with Hypothermia.
